Worst movie ever?

A stupid guy who tries to bed every woman whom he encounters. Who is also a greedy liar, ready to do anything to get money. In the end he's not changed - tries to bed the third sister (who of course is very happy about that). And he's supposedly the hero whom the watchers (i.e. mostly children) are supposed to praise and learn from? What is the message that this movie is sending? For boys: do whatever you want, cheat etc., you're a hero if you believe in it and everyone will love you. For girls: wait patiently for your hero, and even if he's a cheater (in all meanings of this word) love him nevertheless because he's a great guy.

Can you imagine a movie where a man (let's call him Theodorus) just after one day of knowing a woman cries about a broken heart, goes mad and completely destroys his own life?

I understand that this is a century old story, but please Disney, let it remain in it's grave of history, the only place where it belongs.

Somehow EVERY movie in IMDB message boards has the same thread...

this movie was doomed to get threads and reviews like this before it was even released because it doesn't have a depressed or brooding protagonist, or every character giving off a filibuster every time they open their mouth, or preaching that everybody becomes evil if they don't die young.

I hope enough non-cynical people saw this movie so the planned Sequels can go forward.

It dose feel like every movie has to a character on the verge of slitting his wrists. In order to be considered good.

I would say this is definitely the most disappointing movie of the year so far. It had a strong cast, loads of potential, but the characters, plot, etc...it just went nowhere for me.

Good post, but never ever describe something as the worst movie ever, unless it's Nothing But Trouble or something.

On IMDb, "Worst Movie Ever" only and always means "Movie I Saw This Week".

Doctor Mabuse, Evil Genius, King of Crime

There's plenty more than just a "poor message" a movie may be presenting, before it can be on the "worst ever movie list". First, you'd have to start with "Norbert", and work your way backwards through about 10,000 movies before you'd run into this one on that list.
This was a pretty good prequel to the original movie, after you discount the acting, overdone special effects, poor directing, lack of original catchy music, and general seedy nature of the hero. The idea of a prequel to "The Wizard of Oz" was brilliant. The end product here...not so brilliant, but certainly not a candidate for worst movie ever.
