Cringe worthy humour.

How do people find this funny? The amount of sex, fart and dick jokes make it the perfect movie for 15 year olds. How the *beep* does this have an 8.4? It's rated higher than cinema masterpieces like Pan's Labyrinth and A Fistful of Dollars.

I just want to say thanks for the title of your post and formthe mention of fart/dick/sex jokes. That's all I needed to know, to know that I would hate the movie. I like stuff that is genuinely funny, but not 1st-grader humor. It is sad that there are so many teenagers and adults with the same infantile mentality of 1st-graders. I hate this kind of movie, and what I hate worse is when I find myself in a theater showing this kind of movie and the theater is full of grownups laughing hysterically at fart jokes and dick jokes. The retards how like this stuff respond to people who disdain it by accusing them of having no sense of humor. They think fart jokes and dick jokes are funny, and they think that anyone who doesn't share their infantile psychological makeup is missing a sense of humor. It is truly sad that so many full grown adults never really advance past the point of the 1st grader.

If you haven't even watched the film what are you doing here commenting like you know anything?

And what exactly are you doing that's so different?

In summary, you haven't watched the movie, your arguments are based on insulting those who watched it and liked it and you're criticising them for doing exactly what you're doing.

Are you sure you aren't the 1st grader?

There should also be a filter for obnoxious pretentious righteous prudes.

Not that I'm calling you one, not at all. But really, there are movies who aren't made for a certain kind of people. It's not the movie's fault if you can't appreciate it.

And the ratings are bs, I mean, really, how can you compare Pan's Labyrinth to Dead Pool?? Don't take the ratings so seriously, in fact, they should be on different rating lists. But on the comic book superheros rating, it sure as hell is a good movie.

I was afraid it would be a lot humor that wasn't for me but it was waaay less than I imagined and it was the first time I ever felt there wasn't enough d*ick jokes in a movie. I rate a solid 9. In the comicbook genre. As a movie it's perhaps a six. I am 35 and among the movies I love, El Laberinto del Fauno rates very high. Wristcutters - A Lovestory also comes very high. I like movies that entertain me in any form. I wanted a childish action movie with over the top SFX and terrible jokes and Deadpool gave me just that. But it's not a zero-sum game. Just because I loved Deadpool doesn't mean I don't like "real movies".

This Female 52 year old Marvel comics fan over more than 40 years standing thought it was as funny as *beep* Why do people put so much importance on movie ratings? There are many films in the 250 best that shouldn't be there and many that aren't that should be, well, from my personal point of view, but, what makes me so important that my personal rating of a film is the be all and end all? Chill out people, no one cares what you think or what I think.

I am a four eyed evil genius.

Just because the movie wasn't for you or to your liking doesn't mean it's a bad movie. Like other have said this is to portray the source material and with that they did a great job.

The jokes are quite dated. Agent Smith? Blade? Geez.

reply

Well. Ryan Reynolds did star in one of the Blade films. I think it's called "meta" and I've been told that Deadpool is all about meta.

Me too I didn't find it funny at all. Are people nowadays have sick sense of humor? I'll watch Jimy Carey's Liar Liar repeatedly than going back to this one.

This movie was made for the fans. Ryan Reynolds pushed for this film since 2004. He is a diehard fan of the series. The fact that it made money was just a bonus. They made this movie as true to the character as possible and it was marvelously (pun intended) done. Don't like it? Good for you. You should have known what it would be and you won't be watching the sequel then.

Why even compare to different movies BASED on rating? it is nonsensical. This movie got the rating by fans who approved of the film's comic book adaptation. THAT alone deserved the score it received; period. The ratings of each individual film does not reflect upon OTHER movies. Jesus christ.
