5.7? This movie is the rare (at least in Hollywood these days) film that is both very funny and family friendly at the same time. The innocence in the film and lack of crudeness was so refreshing. A previous poster put it best when stating that they didn't know how anyone couldn't have a massive smile on the face at the end of the film. Like "Napolean Dynamite" a truly Great, innocent and refreshing comedy.

I think they see Jack Black in a silly kids mexican wrestling movie and dont really give it a shot. And judge without even really watching it or paying attention to it. This has some of the funniest lines and scenes. And love that its kid friendly. Except for one part where he throws the corn threw the guys eye. That was crazy violent out of nowhere. But kinda funny in how crazy it was. lol. Great film. I give it a nine. I dont care what anyone says.

I would also like to declare my love for NL! It's quirky, charming, heart-felt and hilarious. Not many movies can compare to it in that sense. But I can understand it's low score - it's definately an aquired taste. Also helps if you like JB - which I do.

i totally agree, this is a cult film for me, this ranks up there with Napoleon Dynamite and Big Lebowski ,it really defines Jack and his greatness in comedy, he is original and needs more movies that can reflect what he can do,but many don't like him because of other flop films that were just poorly written and directed , don't underestimate Jack , he is way better than Adam Sandler and the other guy in the male hooker comedys what's his name?
