5.7? This movie is the rare (at least in Hollywood these days) film that is both very funny and family friendly at the same time. The innocence in the film and lack of crudeness was so refreshing. A previous poster put it best when stating that they didn't know how anyone couldn't have a massive smile on the face at the end of the film. Like "Napolean Dynamite" a truly Great, innocent and refreshing comedy.

This movie felt aimed more at kids (and it's a "Nickelodeon Movie"), which I'm sure the score reflects some. The sound effects, the farts, basically all the wrestling...I'm sure people don't appreciate the bad green screening, either.
Nacho's wrestling partner was the opposite of likable.
Jack Black's accent was amusing. The first reference to the tunnel the fat woman came through was humorous, and I liked the XOXOs at the end of his letter A LOT, but other than that it just generally wasn't that good, and shouldn't be considered on the same level of N Dynamite. Let it be written.
[p.s. I'd compare NL to that Will Ferrell Spanish movie ('Casa de mi Padre'?) long before I'd compare it to ND, but I guess that's a fairly new movie.]

The fight choreography are well done and convincing, and Jack's facial expressions are the best! Laughed my ass off whenever he's onscreen.
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.
One of the best comedies I've seen. Thought it was ok the first time, but after that I've seen at least ten times.

I came on IMDB to post how underrated Nacho Libre is :) It is intended to be funny in it's absurdity and it totally succeeds!
