I like this film, the score is brilliant, the nun is gorgeous, the acting is funny and the end smile is priceless! Most of all, this film is very humble in the way it doesn't pretend to be what it's not. It claims to be a silly light-hearted and absurd comedy and it does a very good job in its field... but it's silly nonetheless... Still, I agree that the 5.7 is harsh, it belongs around 6.5 in my opinion.

Agreed. It's really not as bad as most people seem to think.

You took the words right out of my keyboard!! But I have a slightly different reason why I think it's a masterpiece of comedy, these righter really did their homework! You will truly appreciate the comedy of this movie in all it's dimensions if you were ever exposed to Mexican 60s and 70s movies. They make a tongue in cheek spoof based on the rich Mexican cinema, from the stone faced dialogues, to the over the top courageous attitudes of the movie hero. The drama behind each scene is what makes the movie so funny. I am really sorry for the people who missed out on all this, and understandably so since most of the target audience in the US are not that familiar with the genre. I believe this was missed by most if not all of the movie critics in from the press too, which is kind of shameful (they should know a little better).

Could not agree more! One of the few movies my whole family watches together. We know exactly what it is, but has heart and it's hilarious!

It was different, but nothing really funny. I smiled like 2 times, didn't even laugh.

OMGosh! I didn't realize this movie had such a low rating. It's ridiculous that such a great gem like this could be so underrated.
