When Gervais is shirking from the actor during the play as he tries to kiss him and Ian Mkellan is pushing his head back. Does anyone else think that this is the funniest comedy moment ever? Its like Monty Python, Fawlty Towers and Benny Hill all rolled into one with an extra helping of Wacky Races and a bit of Wallace and Grommit mixed in to boot. Its just brilliant visual humour.
Although, it only just beats the moment when Darren is trying to flush to no avail and then he resorts to using a kitchen utensil to mash it. Amazing.
Idea.
Imagine a sitcom centred around the exploits of Darren Lamb dating. Wouldn't that also be hilarious.
The funnieast one for me was the one whent they were at the Bafta awards. A lot of stuff happend that night but what kills me is that scene when Andy, Darren and Ronnie Corbett get caught by security in the toilet cubicle, under suspicion of doing drugs. Then Corbett accuses Darren: They could see your head over the cubicle door! And Andy annoyingly replies to him: They could see your head UNDER the cubicle door! Love it how he nails it every single time!
What of when Maggie tried jumping the bathroom queue in order to speak to the handsome guy, and the woman behind her said "she's got diarrhea). The look on Maggie's face was priceless!
Daniel Radcliffe showing Andy the condom, and when questioned as to why it was unrolled he says something about "wanting to be ready all the time". Andy's deadpan expression had me on the floor.
When Maggie got confused as to who Samuel L. Jackson was and thought he was Morpheus (from the Matrix). Andy really put his foot in it when he tried covering for her.
Hale and Pace trying to get into the exclusive restaurant. I thought that was the funniest thing seeing how popular they were at one time.
Kate Winslett's tirade about the nun outfit....LOL!!!
All of Bunny's scenes, especially in the park when George Michael comes walking by. Also when Bunny did that song and dance routine with is daughter...talk about weird. In the same scene, when Bunny's wife asks about the time, he looked at his wrist and quickly changed the topic because his "friend" had stolen the watch.
One simple bit, when Robert Lindsay's in the hospital. Episode 6 series 2.
When the kid doesnt know who he is, and despite Lindsays best attempts to make him he realise who he was the kid still shows no signs. Then Robert comes out with the immortal 'oh Fuqk off!'
I love that bit too, especially as I remember Lindsay from 'Citizen Smith'.
One of my fave bits is when Andy is pretending to visit his mum's grave to shake off this guy who wants to be his friend. Of course it is not his mum's, it turns out to be a Jewish women who died at age 60, which would make Andy '(at least) 52 and Jewish'.
Kate Winslet, every line (also she's a MILF) Patrick Stewart's facial expressions while discussing nudity. Darren trying to clean the toilet. Fizzy water ofc "Oh, midget!" "Mongoloid". I did not expect that word :) "Just take me out one night"
This is not the funniest moment but still :-). I like the scene where Andy, Maggie and Daniel Radcliff r sitting on the bus and Maggie asks if they want anything to drink and Daniel asks for a java "and make it strong. I dont want that weak s**t and then he goes "oh" and covers his mouth like the word s**t was a bad curse word :-D
