Funniest moment ever?

When Gervais is shirking from the actor during the play as he tries to kiss him and Ian Mkellan is pushing his head back. Does anyone else think that this is the funniest comedy moment ever? Its like Monty Python, Fawlty Towers and Benny Hill all rolled into one with an extra helping of Wacky Races and a bit of Wallace and Grommit mixed in to boot. Its just brilliant visual humour.

Although, it only just beats the moment when Darren is trying to flush to no avail and then he resorts to using a kitchen utensil to mash it. Amazing.

Idea.

Imagine a sitcom centred around the exploits of Darren Lamb dating. Wouldn't that also be hilarious.

When the little kid trips and laughs during a take on the set of Ben Stiller's war movie and Stiller berates him for it.
"Do you think war is funny? Is this your mom? If I shot your mom would you think that was funny?" (then using a whiny kid's voice) "If I shot your mommy in the face would that make you laugh?"

reply

allright, obviously the fizzy water moment (laughed for about 15 min, and about a half hour before i could get a stupid grin off my face... seriously).

patrick stewart is amazing, and props to mckellen and radcliff.

But there are three moments that have not been mentionned yet

" There's no such thing as bad publicity. Oh look at this: "Fatty knocks out midget", well, maybe there is..." (not verbatim, going by memory)

that was also classic... plus the whole "Pop c*ck in fanny...".. i don't really know that guy but he was brilliant, then and the whole scene where's he's actually trying to play a part in "when the whistle.. the wind, blows"

And the funniest part of the church meeting is when the priests finishes his prayer and Andy gets just that one clap in... brilliant!!!!

haha loads of proper funny moments, really just too many to list

1.at the prayer meeting, "oh condoms, do we need them?, i don't think so",
being told honesty is a cornerstone of the catholic faith "amen to that",
asked if had been confirmed and who was his father growing up etc
"st bernard" "let the seed of love gush forth" and the way he points and looks at the old lady constantly like hes expecting her to be on his side
"faaaaaather fllaaaattty father flatley father o'flatley"
the priest says he doesnt know father o'flatley "he died, untraceable soooo..."

the one where hes buys maggie a dress and he gets told the price "two thousand FIVE hundred" haha why the emphasis on 500 haha

when hes on stage for that gay play and he tries to get away from the kiss and his head is being pushed from the back haha his face and the whole "who the fu*k is that, its like deliverence around here"

him talking to the film director about chinese cinema and bluffing his way through the whole conversation just by agreeing with everything and maggies school rhyme about japenese and chinese

obviously the scene with the fizzy water is frikin priceless

the scene in the pub with les dennis "I DON'T REALLY KNOW" which is so true if you mention les dennis to anyone they will remember him for that coronation street impression

like may people already said, any scene with darren lamb is hilarious especially "muffin", him trying to figure out the time in los angeles, "RIDE SALLY RIDE" asking maggie on a date by saying "i have been watching you without you knowing"
with warwick davis "oops midget" "could i fit in your house?" "little monkey bootys, get a pair for yourself do you?",
to robert de niro "your a man of the world, have a look at this" and shows him the pen oops hello

hahahahaha i could go on for ages but i will now stop but this show is so frikin funny and awesome

Series 2 : Chris Martin

This scene had me re watching it for a few days after it aired

Darren: Calm down. Muffin?
Andy: No.
Darren: Have a lovely bit of muffin.
Andy: I don’t want any.
Darren: Do you mind if I have a little bit of muffin?
Andy: No.
Darren: Thank you. (presses intercom) Barr?
Barry: Yeah.
Darren: I’m having the muffin.
Barry: I’ll come through.
Andy: Why is this an event?
Darren: He’s excited. Lovely bit of muffin.
Barry: (to muffin) Hello, you

My husband and I just got back from 'The Invention of Lying' and are reliving some of our favorite Extras episodes. (By the way, if you're an Extras fan, you're really going to enjoy Lying. Ricky is brilliant and really shows his mettle as an actor as well - but Extras fans already know that!) We love Kate Winslet talking about her purple-headed womb ferret and if I ever want to crack my husband up, I just grab my boob, pretend to try to lick it and waggle a phone by my ear. Darren and Greg (Barry) mastubating to The Pen is pretty fall-on-the-floor funny, too. But if you haven't given the outtakes a spin, you are doing yourself a serious disservice. Hearing Ricky really laugh makes me want to burst an internal organ.

When Andy catches Barry wanking to the pen (after he caught Darren wanking), he says ''Oh, for *beep* sake,'' my ribs were in agony! And then DeNiro asks for the pen, and you're just expecting him to say, ''I gotta go take a 10 minute leak!''
Incidentally, Ricky Gervais' laugh is... gruesome.

When Maggie was caught with the gollywog doll, and she proceeds to go into a ridiculously long winded explanation on how all the dolls are equal, whilst holding the white doll against the gollywog.

In fact, Maggie and Andy tended to over explain things when they should just shut up.

Case in point,

When Andy was asked if he believed in god

His painful and embarrassing explanations at the Catholic gathering (Father Michael O'Flattley)!

The makeup lady asking for an autograph

The grave scene with the lonely man

All his conversations with his Agent (brilliant)

reply

When Andy's annoying fan is in the pub and he recognizes Barry for doing his grandmothers roofing and then Darren cracking it for not getting 12.5% of what he earnt gets me everytime!

"I guess beggars can be choosers!"

reply

that bit when Andy is trying to get the scene right with Keith in when the whistle blows in the Orlando Bloom episode and Keith is confused because "his sister isn't really dead" :D

reply

Another one that cracks me up is Darren talking about following Warwick Davis home to his little house and looking in his top window like Godzilla.

"Sir, let those laugh that win."

reply

Nobody said Patrick Stewart. I think because Stewart is known as serious actor makes the scene where he talks about his screen play funny as hell.

reply

lol yeah that scene is bloody funny.

"Sir, let those laugh that win."

reply

you know there´s always a moment in extras
after that point you can´t stop laughing
one of those moments is
radcliff to maggie: look............................fags
that line, the look, the little wiggle, killed me.

reply

when Maggie is trying to work out who Ross Kemp is i thought was hilarious!!! he's got a brother... Phil Mitchell?.. Yea him...but you KNOW he's called Ross Kemp!!

reply

The toilet-date-scene of Maggy and Darren. It was sooo embarrassing, I had to watch it through my fingers...

reply

'See his plug nose face, pug, pug, pug, pug'...

Most of the material on 'When the Whistle Blows' makes me laugh, and Andy's charactor's expressions during.

And when Andy knees Warwick in the head and he trys to explain what happened.

reply

The funniest moment for me on extras was ironically enough from the "extra's" portion of the DVD from the Kate Winslet episode. The actress playing the nun extra with the CP sister, her face starts to contort like she is trying to stifle a laugh or something and then does this insane burp..i was rolling watching this bit over a 100 times.
