Worst film ever seen

I really saw a lot, a lot of movies but never seen such a really really bad film like this. I really like all the people involved, thats why i watched it, but theres NO scene in this film i would recommand to anybody to watch - not even the credits-musical-sequence is funny. Im so bored and angry - never thought a film like this would be possible in a system which is making movies for an audience and not for stupid religious reasons.

Definately the worst movie I've ever seen, next to Metal Storm.

To the original poster:
You are so right. I did not have high expectations, and I would have been content with a mediocre comedy, but Evan Almighty was just plain stupid.

Seriously, even a five-year old would not laugh at the scene where he constantly hammers his thumb or where the beard regrows. A waste of celluloid.

Bruce Almighty was definitely the better movie. However, those comments about actors, producers, directors etc. but especially actors, making a bad decision to participate in this movie, I think are unfair. Only the richest actors can afford to choose which movies they act in, most of them have to make movies simply to make a living, and I doubt Steve Carell is in a position yet to decide which movies he wishes to act in. Morgan Freeman may be though, maybe he just enjoys pretending to be God.

I kinda liked the "40 year old Virgin" pun...and there were a few other puns from other movies Steve Carell has starred in...I liked this movie but I won't ever watch Bruce Almighty just for the fact that Jim Carey is in it *shudder*...

Heres my YouTube video talking about him!

Some people obviously haven't watched enough movies and haven't seen a lot of tv movies or direct to video movies!

I seem to see the same posts by unimpressed people about any film I have liked.
I don't laugh out loud at Evan hammering his thumbs, but I find it amusing. A little chuckle to myself perhaps. "I got a booboo" etc.
I like Steve Carell as an actor and I do like his exageration sometimes and I found this film to actually be very good. I was excited for its release and even went to the cinema to see it.
I was not disappointed, and neither was the whole room full of people with me.
Some people are full of high expectations and just don't go to see a film with an open mind.
"oh yes this film WILL be good and WILL feature blah blah..."...cut that out.
"oh its a sequel to another great film ive seen, i wonder what its like"...thats better.

You'll all feel better about a film if you think that way. If a film is genuinly crap and NO ONE likes it at all then fair doos...
But just open your mind to things like 2 of every animal being there (even if they should be standing on an iceberg) or watching various 'FISHIES' following a guy's head around.

You're right, that is hilarious. What was I thinking?

Not a good movie by any means. But it hardly belongs on any "worst ever" list. It's cute. It's amusing in parts, mainly because Steve Carell and Wanda Sykes are naturally funny people.

My kids like this movie, and when they put it on, I don't mind. There's a lot worse crap out there.

USA box office take: 100 million dollars. Now THAT is scary! =)
But it's typical - dumb simplistic predictable harmless semi-funny screen filler aimed at a 10 year-old mentality, pulls in the family bucks and then promptly to DVD for Xmas. What do you expect from Hollywood these days =)

You nailed it Cap't. Really.

I liked this movie better than Bruce Almighty. The only things I didn't like were Evan's wife and secretary's acting and a few things that didn't make sense.
