I really saw a lot, a lot of movies but never seen such a really really bad film like this. I really like all the people involved, thats why i watched it, but theres NO scene in this film i would recommand to anybody to watch - not even the credits-musical-sequence is funny. Im so bored and angry - never thought a film like this would be possible in a system which is making movies for an audience and not for stupid religious reasons.
Well, you don't get the humor I think. In my view, the funny parts are Evan constantly hammering his own Thumb. And when he shaves, those beards and mustache kept growing back. And when he wanted to say that Letter S word, he said "Sheep" instead. The fishes kept following his head. The animals kept following him. I got to admit it wasn't as funny as Bruce Almighty but i still love it.
— USAGE The normal plural of fish is fish, as in he caught two huge fish; however the older form fishes is still used when referring to different kinds of fish: freshwater fishes of the British Isles.
As an ichthyologist, I can assure you that "fishes" would be the correct plural noun in this case. As there are obviously different species in the tank, the group would be referred to as "fishes". Had it been a tank of multiple individuals of a single species, we could then call them "fish".
PS I thought the movie had it's funny parts. And Lauren Graham is always great.

There's a difference between not getting it and not finding it funny. If you sat with a six year old nephew watching something and he was laughing and you weren't it's because the humour is too obvious and childish...a bit like the 'funny parts' you've just mentioned.
Where O where has the humor gone in todays world?...Its just a movie! Take a chill pill, lighten up, pull the stick out of your a$$ and laugh. Yes it was stupid. It wasn't ment to be serious, but to say the ending credit musical dancing wasn't funny...well thats just sad, and I feel bad for you. What a life you must have that you can't laugh at that. I laughed the whole way through this one.
I enjoyed it. It wasn't oscar worth or laugh out loud funny but a light comedy that families could enjoy together. Goes to show that a movie doesn't have to be raunchy or violent to enjoy.
Yeah i thought so too, really enjoyable and Evan's secretary provided most of the comic relief i think. It wasnt crap, it was just a sequel that didnt need to be done! Enjoyable all the same.
Its definetely up there in the worst films ive ever seen, probably in my top5 of worst movies. I laughed once and that was when this was said: EVAN: "im building something" Evan's Secretary: "i hope its a barber shop"
That was literally the only time i laughed in this 'comedy', awful compared to bruce almighty which as a big jim carrey fan...wasnt even that great!
This movie lacked the humour of having God's powers and was more about family bonding. Id class it solely as a family movie, definetly not a family comedy.
Seeing a bird poo on someone's shirt is not hilarious, neither is a beard that grows back instant!
I didnt even think the special effects were great, the animals looked really stuck on, it was like watching a film which hadnt been 'glued' together properly
2/10 film - avoid!
Incase I dont see ya, Good afternoon, good evening and good night.
Ten minutes into the movie I wanted to walk out of the cinema. I would have given it minus ten out of ten if I could. This is the most annoying ensemble of script, performances, actors, plot and camera work in recent memory.
Some unevolved brains are only tickled by graphical humour like seeing someone fall down a flight of stairs. It doesn't surprise me there are dingbats who enjoy and defend the humour in scenes like hammering one's own thumbs and bird droppings on the face.
This is *beep* in its purest form. I need an exorcist for having seen this movie.
What did people expect from such a movie? It wasn't a bad movie, nor was it great. It had its moments, but again, some parts of the story wasn't reasonable. Like the animals only on the boat for a quick few minutes -- I'm guessing at the start of when the water came down and swallowed the forest. But, still... Few parts, very silly to say the least.
I guess it was more of a story of meaning than hard facts. It's not bad. But people should give it a little more credit, not too much though, but be reasonable, 1 out of 10? Come on!
Sorry you didn't like the movie. I thought it was pretty good and entertaining. I knew it was going to be just a silly time going into it from watching the previews. Just like all the other silly ones like "Bill & Ted's Adventures", "Dumb & Dumber"-- Movies that make you forget about everything and just laugh. Maybe you were in the wrong frame of mind when you watched this. Try it again some day.
This movie wasn't intended to be a mind blowing, life altering, get you to think about greater meanings. It is one of those movies you watch on a lazy Sunday and enjoy it's simplicity. I would not in the slightest call it the worst movie i'v ever seen. And critiquing movies is my job. I watched the movie both in the theaters and at home with my family. Both times there were laughs all around. All in all I thought it was enjoyable. I think you guys need to lighten up and stop expecting so much from movies.
