Of the 11 Trek films made, what are your 2 current favorite ones and why?

Of the 11 Star Trek cinema films made so far, what 2 or 3 films,
are your current favorite ones and please separately say why,
for each fave Trek cinema film named (as in for the film's
better script, the acting, direction, FX, or a combo of all of
these or any other factors).

In no particualr order:

Star Trek: First Contact - The one time they got TNG right for the big screen. Beautiful score, compelling story, tons of action, wonderful sets, lovely new ship and powerhouse performances from both Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan - Brilliantly written and directed with great performances all round (Shatner was never better). An exciting movie that basically laid the groundwork for all the movies that followed in its wake.

The Undiscovered Country and The Motion Picture would be my third and fourth favourite Star Trek movies respectively.

The Wrath of Khan and First Contact are my favourites.

But The Undiscovered Country comes a close third.

The new Star Trek movies are a completely different type of movie, so it's hard to make direct comparisons. But even though they are really silly, they are still better than Star Trek V and most of the TNG movies.
