I was particularly annoyed by the excessive use of this cinematic practice. Not everything needs an explanation.

shareI was just thinking how much I love voiceovers in movies or TV shows. I don’t know why. I just do. But some people really hate them.
shareI don’t have a problem with voiceovers in general; I love them in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and other movies. My issue is with the use of voiceover in this movie—at least in the first 15 minutes, it’s used every 10 seconds to explain unnecessary things.

shareThe OP probably won't like the voiceover for the adult Kevin in The Wonder Years. He/she would probably find that more obnoxious than the VO for this movie and it's Marv from Home Alone and the same actor who played the dad in the sequel, BTW.
shareIt was narrated by the guy who wrote the short stories on which it was based. He didn't have a horrible voice or accent, though. But true, he wasn't a professional voice-over artist.
