Does God Exist?
Does God Exist? I think he does, maybe. Any thoughts?

It's funny how people keep on giving short, definite answers when the ambiguities of life and belief are nearly impossible to know. You cannot know, there is no fact that a god exists, but there is little other than not being able to see him that proves against the existence of a god.
I think that Bergman pegged the existential crisis of religion in this film where all the horror and mourn of our world ails us in our concise set of beliefs because we think in fallacies (if "this" then why "that"?) Every fall out with loss of faith regards the distasteful aspects of the world that we live in today, and many return to their faith, regard their newfound faithlessness, or claim not to have all of the answers.
I personally believe in some god because it makes sense to me, I don't have any solid proof of why else I would believe in any god. I am not going to state wholeheartedly that "yes there is a god" or "no there is no god" because these answers won't come to us until after we're dead, and atheism is correct, we won't care one speck of sh!t either way.
The important thing to realize is that it doesn't matter.
If we were to discover an energy source that could be said to be God existing somewhere in our universe, its very likely that it wouldn't change a single aspect of your day to day life.
So, if it doesn't matter, don't worry about it. Live how you feel you should. Be kind and respectful and treat others as you wish to be treated.
I'm not gonna claim absolute certainty that he doesn't exist. However, I'm reasonably certain that there is no god. There's no evidence for it, so therefore I don't believe it. God seems to be the only thing the majority of people accept without evidence of any kind. The most rational, logical, and skeptical people still believe in a god. That's really confusing to me to be honest. I definitely don't mean any of this in an insulting way, it just surprises me.

I want to shake every limb in the Garden of Eden
and make every lover the love of my life
science is searching for the god particle. search that. ill go with that. man made up god and the bible and religious books that are nothing more than primitive psychology and fables. we have only written what man can fathom and what was written even 5 years ago can be improved upon. to dedicate your life to something 2000 years old and full of holes is foolish and taking the easy and thoughtless way out. its being a stupid follower pussy.
but religion is primitive psychology so you are slightly better off with it than nothing at all.
religion creates and protects the sheep from the obviousness that we are selfish stupid apes and instead of improving upon ourselves and the world religion leaves us in the 'ignorance is bliss' part of life and we just consume and destroy like stupid apes! some of the stupidest people you will meet are mentally ill or deeply religious or blindly following ideologies like liberals and conservatives.
think for yourself. keep up with science and psychology. respect people and animals
if you want your mind blown search 'jesus never existed' and then go to a museum and see items 2000 years old that are well preserved and then start asking where any of the jesus relics are and then realize they are all myths or 'in the pillar of some great church' or buried with alexander the great. its absolutely unreal how fast the story of jesus crumbles to dust. its like 10 minutes. then search debates about jesus existence and see pastors totally fail at proving anything because everything written about jesus was written long after he supposedly lived so its not admissable because nothing was written while he was alive and in the moment. all of it is likely exagerated. and half the planet doesnt notice any of this or ask questions. blows the mind.
shareGod does exist, but not here. Edgar Cayce's vision of God (that suggests he had a beginning in the form of energy) is interesting. More interesting is that souls which God created to be companions were permitted to go on creating the universe or to alter its state. Some spirits visited Earth and took such desire in its creation that they wanted to participate in it. The human being was created when the souls assisted in the evolution of the ape into homo sapien, and then inhabited the creature. All this was done behind God's back because the soul was granted free will and domain. We got so lost in this state of physicality by performing negative energies against each other that God sent a man to tell us to come back. Now all we have left is religions and faint imaginations of the soul as attempted reminders of who we once were. Edgar Cayce on human origins is one the most fascinating readings.
shareBergman struggled all his life not with the existance of God, he took that for granted, but the silence of God. Why does God ignore us? In a sense this is neither theism or atheism, but a grim and tragic agnosticism.
shareSure, why not?
