Soooo ... couldn't America just mind its business?

I don't know much about the politics of the situation. But Russia wants to invade Ukraine ... how and why does America get so involved?

I get they want to effect world peace and prevent loss of life, but is America the world's policeman?

Only little bitches look the other way when someone powerful is preying on someone week. Are you saying you're a little bitch?

reply

Because history has a funny way of repeating itself.

In 1938, rather than forcing Hitler to give back the part of Czechoslovak he had taken, France and Great Britain decided to let him have it because he was promising not to take any more. They could have easy forced him out at that point, but nobody wanted another war, so they let it go. Five months later he took the rest of Czechoslovak. Seven months after that he invaded Poland, and the war was on.

Putin won't stop with Ukraine. He undoubtable wants to rebuild the Sovit Union and will probably try to bring on some new countries as well. Then once he's powerful enough he will come after us. Unless the world is smart enough to learn from past mistakes and stop him now, while they can.

reply

America don't really have a right to judge too much, but I also like that people are calling it like it is: Putin's actions are evil and horrid and need to be stopped.

reply

Exactly, and these fools who want to make it a partisan issue don't care about what this means to the lives of Ukrainians.
Be nice if they organized a Freedom Convoy to support the freedom of Ukraine.

reply

Things like justice and peace should never be partisan issues. I've been disgusted over the years as basic rights like freedom of speech have become partisan. What a bunch of hooey.

reply

Your question implies that Russia, Ukraine, and Russian expansion aren't our concern, but they are very much our business.
