"Classic Movies" You Don't Like?

Don't worry how popular a movie is. There are no movies you're "supposed" to like, and I will never question any answer, so just speak freely.

-Dr. Zhivago
-Lawrence of Arabia

Lord Of The Rings: Return of The King
Fight Club
Pulp Fiction
The Shining
Braveheart

reply

OTHER THAN PULP FICTION I PRETTY MUCH AGREE WITH YOUR CHOICES.

reply

YOU DON'T LIKE FIGHT CLUB???????

reply

I DO...I DON'T LOVE IT THOUGH.

reply

Fair enough

reply

The Wizard of Oz

I think some of the old classics, like It's A Wonderful Life and Gone With the Wind, have lost some of their charm over time. They're not bad films, but they feel like an effort to sit through sometimes. But the ones I really dislike usually fall under the movie franchise category like Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Godfather films.

reply

THE FIRST FILMS ARE ALL SOLID...I AGREE WITH YOU ONCE THEY BECAME FRANCHISES.

Vertigo

reply

it is overrated

reply

I should have added that one to my list too.

reply

Once upon a time in the west

Lost in translation

Blade runner 2049

reply

I wasn’t a massive fan of Platoon, if you can call that a classic movie.

reply

I don't even remember that movie.. I think I remember the Dafoe group smoking pot, and then the Berenger group, more traditional hired killers

reply

Yeah I barely remember a scene and just found it to be a complete drag. I’m all for giving it another chance though one day.

reply

2001, Citizen Kane, Lawrence Of Arabia and Miracle On 34th Street are ones I didn't like

Also that Jimmy Stewart one where it's Christmas and he's about to chuck himself in a river because he's a loser and suddenly meets an angel...that
one as well

I turned "Some Like It Hot" off after 15 minutes... I'm not watching guys in drag.

In college, I took a class, "Film & Philosophy" and Blade Runner was one of them, but I fell asleep.
