The best romantic comedy of all time?

The Quiet Man (1952)

reply

The one with Cameron Diaz

reply

you should join dainty in the desert.

reply

That could be a romantic and funny couple😁

reply

I wouldn't say of all time but, My Cousin Vinny (1992) is one of the best, imo.

reply

if thats allowed on the list i agree!

reply

Why not? Many of us here are flexible in our opinions. ;)

reply

I whole heartily agree!

reply

Thanks. It appears I'm not so outnumbered after all.

Singin' in the Rain (1952)

reply

I don't know about best... I do love the heck out of BALL OF FIRE though. Stanwyck and Cooper had perfect chemistry.

reply

Jack and Jill (2011)

reply

LMAO...A THANKSGIVING TRADITION WITH MY DAUGHTER...WHICH SHE FIGHTS EVERY YEAR.🙂

reply

Buffalo 66 (1998)

reply

yes. seconded. i agree with this choice.

reply

My #10 all-time.. Probably the most unique movie I've ever seen. No need for abstract bullshit mixed with surrealism. Creativity can be realistic.

reply

I absolutely love everything about it and it definitely resides on my top 20 list now. You are so right though, I haven’t seen anything like it either.

reply

I haven't seen a movie like "Last Year In Marienbad", but the movie is a 6/10, pretty confusing..

BUT, I highly recommend the movie, "Sult", very focused on one man. Great movie, very unique.

reply

I will look them up. 👍

reply

"Sult" was on YouTube last time I saw it a few months ago.. Enjoy!

reply

Another great one!

reply

I think it depends on which genre it leans to. How much romance, how much comedy...I'd say Victor Victoria (1982) or Romancing the Stone.

reply

Romancing The Stone was a fine one

Action/comedy/romance and one heck of a cast!

reply

I found this a hard topic, I had to think of a couple I was rooting for, to get together, and that was tough, since I'm not a romantic. I just went with the best comedy. I can name on one hand the romance movies I've watched where I actually gave a crap if they actually got together:)

reply

Casablanca was a fine romantic movie, that is one of the best

* it's not really my genre either but there are a handful of good ones

reply

have to go with casablanca too.

another great one : shane (the love triangle was subtle, but it was there)

reply

Shane is a Great movie, I have the novel but I'm trying to finish a Dean Koontz book just now...Shane is next!

reply

Just Friends (2005)

The Girl Next Door (2004)
