Your favourite "Bad" movie

I've skimmed the discussion as I'm sure this has been discussed before, but there are always new movies coming out, so, I want to know what your favourite bad movie is. Is it The Room?

Honestly I can't pick a favourite of good or bad movies, but ones I enjoy are;

Gleaming the Cube (1989)
Commando (1985)
R.I.P.D. (2013)

Not sure if it counts but I was watching Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) the other night, and was struck how bad it really was, but I just didn't care.

In no particular order...

Road House (1989)
The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982)
Grease 2 (1982)
Infra-Man (1975)
Flash Gordon (1980)

reply

Road house would be my pick as well. Very rewatchable

reply

Omg! I have not even thought of The Sword and the Sorcerer since I was a kid. It’s has the 3 Blade sword wielded by Matt Houston. 😊

The Poseidon Adventure, 1972

reply

‘Deep Blue Sea’ (1999)
‘No Holds Barred’ (1989)

reply

"The Terminator", "Aliens", "Die Hard", "Robocop", "Predator", ect. will always be the elite of the '80s action era, but "Commando" is the unsung hero.

The Tingler (1959)

Ah, a subject close to my heart!

Friday the 13th Part 3 (1982)
12 Rounds 2: Reloaded (2012)
Carpool (1996)
Showgirls (1995)
No Holds Barred (1989)
Screwballs (1983)
Various Lifetime movies from the 90s

reply

Screwballs and No Holds Barred are off the beaten path choices that would be on my list too. A couple others:

- Cool as Ice
- No Retreat No Surrender
- Caddyshack 2
- Pieces

I also love Friday the 13 Part 3 but I think that's actually a decent movie (at least in the 80's slasher genre).

Cool as Ice is so bad! And I mean that in a loving way

reply

"Words of wisdom; drop that zero and get with the hero!"

reply

'I'm gonna go across the street and, uh, schling a schlong.'

reply

I agree, Friday 3 is a good movie - I guess I included it because a lot of people would consider it 'bad'. Still, by today's standards it's kinda cheesy so I feel like it fits here.

Totally agree on No Retreat No Surrender! Can't believe I missed that. I like Cool as Ice, too, but I feel it's better for short clip watches on youtube. It's SUPER boring to actually watch from start to finish.

No Retreat No Surrender has been one of my favorites since I was a teenager taking karate. There are some other bad karate kid ripoff said too, one called Tiger Heart starring Ted Jan Roberts...awful but also hard to look away.

Also not sure if you're familiar with Rifftrax but they riffed No Retreat No Surrender and it was hysterical. Well worth the $3 rental on Amazon prime!

To whomever loves bad movies, if you have not seen Raw Force (1982), search it out and watch it. Those who have seen it before know what I’m talking about.

Other honorable mentions:
Miami Connection (1987)
Yor, Hunter From the Future (1983)
Raiders from Atlantis (1983)

I also like Return of the Killer Tomatoes (1988)

Have you seen Rubber (2010)?

reply

[deleted]

No, but I felt that if you enjoyed killer tomatoes you had the sense of humour for Dupieux's films.
