I felt the same way.
Someone else stated the mustache was also distracting. I have to agree.
I think for all the trouble they went to to keep Orlok’s makeup hidden prior to the movies release it fell flat once he was revealed. Just not creepy enough. Sorry.
I will say that the voice was spot on and very creepy.
All I know is that the buying power of $700 in 1885 was about ~$22,000.
