Your favourite "Bad" movie

I've skimmed the discussion as I'm sure this has been discussed before, but there are always new movies coming out, so, I want to know what your favourite bad movie is. Is it The Room?

Honestly I can't pick a favourite of good or bad movies, but ones I enjoy are;

Gleaming the Cube (1989)
Commando (1985)
R.I.P.D. (2013)

Not sure if it counts but I was watching Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) the other night, and was struck how bad it really was, but I just didn't care.

reply

Does Tremors count? It might not because it really is good, but it's the only one I that came to mind.

reply

I love Tremors. It has an 85% on RT, so not sure it counts.

reply

It probably doesn't. I love it too. Even though I liked it, Tremors 2 might count.

Holy cow, I just Googled and found out there are *5* in the series after the original! Some if not all of them have to count, but I only saw 2.

reply

Godzilla 1998
Alexander 2004

reply

Sharknado - all of them!

reply

I've only seen the first one, but I do like bad shark movies. I just recently discovered Santa Jaws (2018). That one was something else!

reply

I have to see Santa Jaws now, for the title alone 🤣

I was lucky enough to meet the director of Troll2 recently.

A long time ago a friend said they would have a bad movie viewing for laughs, and mentioned Death Race 2000, I think.

Dune is pretty bad, too, even though I liked the book and all the people involved in the 1984 movie.

reply

I much preferred Death Race 2000 to any of the current Death Race movies. Although you mentioning that just made me think of another one that I will watch whenever I catch it somewhere. Damnation Alley (1977).

reply

The Wraith
The Happening
Demon Seed (arguably not too bad!)

reply

I just can't do the Happening. I think it's Mark Wahlberg that irks me more than the plot though. I haven't seen Demon Seed, but I did like the book. :)

reply

Demon Seed has Julie Christie nude, and it has great production value too

reply

I like Julie Christie, nude or not :)

reply

"The Wraith" (1986) is so underrated.

Great cast, great characters, amazing soundtrack, ect.

From the outside, you would expect it to be really cheesy, but the acting is pretty on point. No real bad performance.

reply

Its quite popular in Japan

reply

yeah , The Wraith is really good! great soundtrack.
Looks & sounds a bit 80s these days, but , well why shouldnt it?

reply

Devil was a funny one i think. The title alone literally spoils the whole plot.

reply

That's actually my favourite Shyamalan film. It's simple, but I just like it.

reply

I love the concept of it, it could've been a masterpiece with the right directing, same with The Happening and Lady in the Water. At least Shyamalan was humble enough to turn off his ego with Devil and accepted to stay in the background which made it a little better then his usual standard, his trademark of dumb ideas still shines through though like the falling sandwich for example, but the movie is alright. It's like an outdrawn episode of The Twilight Zone. Wouldn't mind watching it again.

reply

But...Jelly side down!!!

It's certainly not without it's flaws, I agree, but I didn't really think that there was a big twist. Like you said, the devil is in the title, it was more of a whodunit for me.

reply

I guess you're right, it wasn't so much what is causing it as who, but they could've still kept it a mystery until sandwich man mentions it. Just call the movie "Elevator" or something XD Not as fancy as a title of course.
