I wonder if Arnold or Stallone would have been that big if Bruce Lee hadn't died. Maybe all the action stars from the 70s and 80s would have been regarded as imitators.

I think it depends on the person. Wether you think Mavis's life was superficial and pathetic or Buddy's life was boring, the movie will reinforce your belief.

I don`t remember the scene but in reality it could work because spaceship routes are calculated with precision, so if you wanted to damage the ship you could set an obstacle free in the right place at the right time.
Not to mention spaceships travel so fast that mere debris could cause immense damage.
