Bruce Lee popularized martial arts movies. Everyone wanted to be like him when I was a kid. "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" is an entertaining movie to watch about his life. Great martial art scenes, romance and comedy.
I read that Lee's blows and kicks were so fast that they didn't show in film. Lee refused to slow down at all so the directors used a slower film speed during his marital art scenes.

Brandon Lee had his father's charisma. He made a few really bad movies, but every scene with him shined because of his charisma and improvisation. His best films are "The Crow" and "Rapid Fire".
You want to see how fast Bruce Lee was? Watch The Big Boss (US title). There is a scene where Lee’s character is about to enter a garden park in Hong Kong, that has a sign posted at its entrance, “No Dogs or Chinese Allowed.” Lee kicks this sign skyward, leaps into the air, and kicks the sign in half in mid-air. The key to breaking a board in your karate class is having someone holding the board firmly, making it rigid and fragile. Breaking a flowing board midair, held by the wind? You have to be a Master.

shareI think there’s room for both the Bruce Lee and Ahnahld/Sly archetypes. For 1 thing: 2 very different body types. Bruce weighed like 140, 150 pounds—but he could take a 75-pound barbell and hold it in front of him with his arms fully extended for 30 seconds. Few people know he created his own exercise machines and exercises. The “Rocky sit-ups” that Sly did was an exercise Lee created that he called “the flag.” Bruce Lee was cut, ripped and shredded like maybe 3 other guys in history; but he was small. Force equals mass times speed. Effectiveness equals force plus ACCURACY.

He was so virile and wild he had to know hundreds of women before it was safe to let him enter Gilgamesh’s royal city. Guys who are built like Sly and Arnold more quickly resonate as MAN with simpler audiences, and that’s okay. I love all 3 of these guys. I respect all 3 of them tremendously for what they achieved with the tools they had. A world-class bodybuilder, an actor who WROTE himself into stardom and the Cha-Cha champion of Hong Kong (Lee, true story)?! They made themselves STARS. I think they should inspire a lot of us.
