Hey, she’s actually a decent singer! Thanks for the clip.
The problem is most of us know him from the Star Wars films, in which he comes across as an entitled, whiny spoiled brat. Not good.
I thought he was better utilized in Silence, but that’s the only other film I’ve seen him in.
This film will be a smash hit because it will use real world objects and feature believable action. It is that simple. I am excited for this plus Ghostbusters Afterlife.
I am digging the 80s vibe!
For movies like this and Cloverfield, I deliberately sat in the backmost row to reduce dizziness.
But Part II didn’t kill the franchise. In fact, Exorcist Part III is quite a good film, just released in the wrong decade.
Wild theory - the nanny died but came back to life, somehow. She feels guilty for it, may even have caused the farm fire, hence the praying, the self-torture. She somehow carries the ability to bring dead things back - the baby, the cricket.
I tried See, dickinson, and Servant. Servant is easily the best for its moodiness.
Both are great films. That said, I have watched All About Eve more times.
Looks like a good trailer! Better than the earlier ones for sure.
I watched this as a kid in the theater. Junk. By the end of the film, I felt I’d just experienced one of the worst films I’ve ever seen. Karate Kid was much more enjoyable and probably the only really worthwhile film in the series.
I liked submergence. It had a surreal dreamworld ambiance. She was pretty in it, too.
This film defined 80s cinema for me in my youth. Moreso than Top Gun or Ghostbusters or the Star Wars or Indy films.
I remember watching this film years ago. Can’t remember a thing about it, aside from that it was on Sight and Sound top ten films ever for a while.
Not confident this will be a good film. However, my sister is a big fan and already bought us tickets, so i’ll be watching this around Christmas. I hope it is at least a decent popcorn flick to pass the time.
I liked The Manchurian Candidate. The original with Frank Sinatra.
Up!
The Battle of Britain
The New World
Never saw GB2016. No desire.
But GB Afterlife looks interesting. Plus, the director made Up in the Air and Juno. He has talent. I liked the trailer, so I will await summer of 2020.
Top Gun and Ghostbusters! Nuff said!
Aw, I love that western song! Bound for Texas! I felt it added to the ambiance.
The 3 films, Dog’s Life, Shoulder Arms, and Pilgrim are ALL masterpieces. For that reason, this is one of my favorite Chaplin releases and made me a silent film fan!
In today’s sensitive Hollywood, I doubt a Groucho Marx figure would fly. Too bad, his jokes were great.
Perchance, are you a fan of the blade runner sequel? Just wondering. Awesome film.
Oh and AFO is great, too. I’ve always enjoyed it.
