"...but the grail cannot pass beyond the great seal; that is the boundary and the price of immortality." It doesn't say anything about people passing; just about the grail itself. What I believe is that because Elsa tried to take it beyond the seal, they lost their immortality right away. Pretty shoddy actualy towards those people who drank from it centuries ago and now are all mortal again without even knowing :-) Thanks everyone for the replies so far; maybe I should be a little more specific. Why do I believe Obi-Wan could have known about the about-to-come destruction of Alderaan: Han Solo asks for 10k, all in advance. Luke points out that’s way to much. Obi-Wan then offers Han Solo 2k on departure and another 15k on arrival at Alderaan. Making it 17k in total which must be an obscene amount of money (if 10k already is considered a rip-off). Now paying him 2k in advance and Alderaan being destroyed bevore arrival (so not having to pay the 15 remaining k) would be sort of convenient on one hand and giving the audience a hint that Obi-Wan has future-predicting abilities on the other hand. Unfortunately I (I don’t know about anyone else) never get to know how much money Luke or Obi are carrying with them and I also don’t get to know how much money the speeder deal made them (doesn’t realy matter because the speeder is sold AFTER negotiating the price with Han). Even though that doesn’t convince me I guess I’m just going to have to take that they were on a limited budget to pay in advance. But why would there be an emergency operating MANUAL? I mean what would it say inside?? View all replies >
