Profanity and frightening/intense scenes rated the same. Casino Royale has mild drug use, while License to mild sexual content.

Post on the Crime Story board basically purports the same thing, comparing it to Dalton's James Bond transition. Catching the screen between scenes of the US version, the story as a vehicle is darker and also his characteristics. Note, my tv set is eco mode so it's always kinda dark.
Both are classics. Crime story though - I feel like I've seen it before without really watching it. Chan may do more physical damage although I assume Bond has a higher death count. It's a tricky question.
