Stealing from a shop isn't personal. I just meant I wouldn't break into someone's home or mug someone on the street. That stuff causes PTSD. Nobody cares if something goes missing from a shop. People might work there but it wouldn't be hurting them. Maybe I'll go another step and avoid local mom & pop shops.
Explosions making you fly through the air. Doesn't happen. You'd just collapse and if close enough your brain would turn to jelly.
Alita: Battle Angel. It was OK. I enjoyed the action and it looked great but it didn't feel complete to me. I was disappointed by the end of it because it set up some cool stuff I wanted to see but they seem to be saving it for the sequel. If there is a sequel I might grow to like it but right now I feel robbed of a proper ending.
Halloween (2018). Awesome. Brutal kills. Michael is a force of nature. I'd say it's the best Halloween since the original. Lots of throwbacks which I liked but some might find to be overbearing. Loved Jamie Lee Curtis in it. I know they're planning a sequel so I'm excited for that.
Also I might see Happy Death Day 2 this week. I enjoyed the first one and I think Jessica Rothe does a great job as the lead.
I love them both but I think Clueless has better characters.
The only person fit to play Janis Joplin is Jenna Maroney.
There's nothing wrong with being a vegetarian lol
Won tickets to Jurassic World and Fast and Furious... 7 I think. Enjoyed both.
Probably stealing. Not from people but from shops. Food, movies, Lego, whatever.
Yeah who knew black people and Mexicans could make good movies? I'm shocked!
I've said this a lot but I'll say it again. Aquaman is a live-action cartoon. It's straight out of a Saturday morning run of cartoons. I love it for that. Obviously that's not for everyone but no movie is.
Yeah I like Cheap Thrills. I like a few Sia songs but never got into her.
I'll go with a recent one.
When the big dude said "RIP THAT FLEA" in Battle Angel I cracked up. Not the worst line I've heard (or even the worst in the movie) but it just sounded so funny to me.
I agree. Infinity War should've won Best Picture.
Collateral. He's real good as a villain but rarely takes those roles. I also love the movie.
Cocktail. Tom Cruise at peak hotness in my opinion. He's written as such a dick in the movie but just exudes charm no matter what.
Tropic Thunder. I just like it because it's a wild departure from his norm, similar to Collateral. Except from what I can remember he's just a douche and not like a killer or anything.
Lol true. I guess it depends how you read it. I always understood it as being far far away in time but I guess it could be space too.
People will shit on anything before it comes out. There's always something that stirs the pot. I guess in this case it's the mixed reception to The Last Jedi. Personally I'm not all that invested in this trilogy so I'm curious about Episode IX but I won't be upset if I don't like it. TFA was fun but I wasn't a fan of TLJ. I didn't like where it took the story and I think this trilogy so far has done a piss poor job with world building. It feels like the galaxy has like 3 planets and that the only good guys left alive are the 20 rebels and 3 kids you see at the end of the movie. So my concern is what Episode IX can actually do with such a mediocre setup.
Ah but what if Star Wars takes place in the Milky Way!
As much as I would like this I don't see it happening simply because the cinematic Star Wars universe hasn't established itself in a way where something like that can happen. The main trilogies are too personal and localised. There's no conflict in the galaxy except the Rebels vs First Order which will probably be wrapped up in Episode IX. So you would have to create a conflict big enough to require a crossover but small enough that it has minimal consequences for the universe. Also it would really mess with the idea of Star Wars being in a galaxy far far away which is what I always liked about it. While the characters are obviously human and look like us they still feel alien in a way, at least in the OT and the prequels. Star Trek gives me more of a "this could realistically be our future" vibe and I don't think the two franchises would gel together. They operate on different philosophies.
I know I'm probably overthinking it but that's my take.
They have time traveled in Star Trek so it can happen.
