Bolchevik's Replies

The scene meant to pass time and show how Kim and Saul/Jimmy were taking different path was really interesting. Using the split-screen to show nothing more but instead to underline how far they were from each other was truly great. Don't think there was a single scene I would have got out, I would say because many people are drowning through the movie. Dunkirk is a true cinematic experience and would definitely been a good choice for the Oscar. However, the Oscars are being over politically correct these last years and there is only white males in the movie so I guess its fate was sealed. Sad though. Non-linear story is usually challenging. It demands an certain effort from viewers. That being say, it wasn't the most non-linear out there. Better not try Pulp Fiction. Concerning the story, you had some glimpse of information. Personally I always enjoy to be thrown in a movie while not knowing exactly what is in the context. It was war and the soldiers did not surrendered so it seems very legit that Germans would try to kill them. Plane always seem unfair against troops but I dont think any side would care from a strategic point of view. British bombing targeting civilians and was much more cruel in my opinion. On the other hand, why would Gus had any suspicion. Hector was old, sick and had a crisis. His death made perfect sense. No reason to suspect Nacho, no reason to tail him. Even throwing some garbage from a bridge does not look very suspicious. He had an Alburquerque sign, was fixing Saul and he Sault had to tell him it was a green light. Does not happen often when you take a cab in my experience so yes I think he definitely recognize Saul. 1. Spacey is not convicted yet and presumed innocent; 2. It does not seem possible to say that Plummer's version is better since we couldn't compare with the Spacey's version (thought I admit I really like Plummer in this); Great analysis I agree that the video probably wouldn't have change anything. The picture was simply the best shot of it, according to Molly. However, I really believed the picture was more than enough to link Malvo to his false idetntity (minister). First you have Gus 100% percent sure its him. Then the picture which is very clear in my opinion. Plus all the suspicion. At the time, i thought like Denblauenochsen : I'm simply biased cause I know it's Malvo. But remember in another episode in the film, they show the picture to some random person and he instantly recognize Malvo. That was pretty funny. I also think his plan could still work. As for the shells, if he puts it back in his pocket, the question would have at least be raised by the police : why did you have them in your pocket ? He could probably had his way around like : Malvo killed the cop, left the useless shotgun cause it was empty, I took some shells and sneak my way to the shotgun and killed Malvo. Or maybe he did something else with the shells but we just dont see it ? I dont remember if there was a cut maybe. Clearly murder, probably covered-up. I can't really see any legal explanation he could give that would justify his breakering and killing in cold blood. Now he had a moral ground : Malvo was some kind of Demon that would have probably find a way around or, worst, kill Gus' entire family to avenge himself. @mollydtt : Lester was also pretty clever, he outwitted malvo at the very end with the bear trap. I was under the impression that Malvo would have killed him. Lester destroying six months of Malvo's works for a vain purpose and despite several warnings by Malvo would have destroyed any bond between them. But, as Pappaus said, who really knows what Malvo would have done. To be honest, i liked the season but thought the finale wasn't really a finale until the very end when Baz got killed. I mean, no real cliffhanger for anyone else. I think they should have stop the season when Smurf got in prison, would have been much more stronger. The thing is, why would she pretend to still love him while he's dying ? She would not care if she's a cold-hearted killer. Plus it would have been much easier to kill him another way without all that set-up. Why would she try to convince him to go to Mexico etc. She did not need that to get him off-guard, she could have done a million time since. It's not like she did not know where the money was already. I did not see season 3 yet. She still took money behind the dryer and had her luggage ready. More than enough to convince anyone she was rating. In fact, everything was there to prove she was except she decided not too. It took me a while to start it cause I was afraid of another detective show but I gave it a try when I heard there was a political side. And I was not disappointed, at all. when I think about it now, I just can't find a single flaw at the moment. A must see for History or political buffs and anyone else really
