Uh, do whatever you want. If the movie interests you in the slightest than watch it. Why complicate things? There's many ways you can watch it if you're skeptical but have interest. You can either pay full price, wait till it gets cheap years later. It'll be at thrift stores for like 2-3.99 eventually (I know because I bought a Blu-ray copy of many good movies from there years after said movies release), or wait for it to appear on a streaming service.
Not really imo.
1. Not Elena makes it eh for me. Hopefully she's in a sequel
2. Mark Walberg as Sully is trash. I would have been ok with him being present day Sam.
3. Tom Holland as Drake is meh
Yeah well what's shitty to you is gold to others. I thought 2012 was decent.
"and acted in a few noteworthy films in the late 90s/early 2000s" You say that like it's a bad thing. So she had her time in those years. So what? I absolutley loved her in Set it Off, Woo, Low Down Dirty Shame and Jasons Lyric. She may be unlikable right now because of what happened at the Oscars, but I'm not going to pretend like she didn't earn her fame outside of being Will Smiths Wife.
I understand being angry over it but some of ya'll go way to far with this hate..but hey thats life right? you're going to bitch about famous people and try to cancel them any way you can to make you feel good about yourself. Good luck with that.
Yeah, instead you're a lame ass over thinking piece of trash. lol at you and your opinion.
pretty much sounds like nitpicking to me. Like I said before. It's a movie. So they added in a new character. So what? The other characters are still there getting plenty of focus so all this just makes you come off like a big baby. Have fun with that.
It's a movie. So of course there's going to be differences between that and a fighting game that's story is limited to the out come of who the player chooses to play as to finish the story with.
However Every Mortal Kombat movie has done a good enough job imo at bringing each of these characters from the game to the big screen and making us feel like we're seeing that same character from the game. What exactly do they need to do to convince you that "They care about the video game?" The moves are there. Scorpion has the get over here, sub zero freezes people, Liu Kang shoots fire, Goro is a freakin beast just like in the games, and Shang Tsung is the f'n boss. As is shao kahn and the others. You either didn't actually watch the movies or you're just nitpicking. Either way thats your business.
yea, its the early 2020s where the Mortal Kombat video games still have a tournament so the movies will too.
and you know they didn't have mics how? Perhaps they had the ability to turn said mics on and off and Will chose to have his on when he spoke to Chris across the room after the slap. You don't know anymore than the rest of us so thats that. We can speculate till the end of time but I for one will not be after this message. Whats done is done. Will apologized and now it's old news.
Goodbye.
I'm sorry but you're wrong on this OP. Footage or no footage Will Smith did what he did and he apologized for it. Chris Rock is a comedian, Will Smith and Jada understand that but the thing is Chris Rock has been talking shit about them since the 2016 Oscars, and maybe before that too. I really don't know. Regardless though all of that combined with him making a joke about her legit illness that night is what pissed Jada off and what set Will off once he saw that Jada was not feeling what was said about her.
What Will did was wrong but it's just one of those things that can happen because nobody is perfect. Will got extremely angry and he acted. Luckily it wasn't much of a blow so I'd think/hope for his sake that they don't send a too harsh of a punishment his way. Atleast Chris didn't sue and I'm glad he didn't for the reasons I explained in a different topic on here.
Only one thing would come out of Chris Rock attempting to sue Will Smith for what happened at the oscars. Madness. The end of comedy as we know it. I would understand a lawsuit if Will Smiths attack on Chris Rock had left severe damage to Chris's livelihood and health by having him put in a wheel chair, breaking his neck, his back, major damage to the face/ blindness, or anything else along those lines, but come on...
All Will did was get up there and slap him. A slap that wasn't even as hard as some of the slaps that's been pre determined on Professional Wrestling TV at any point over the last 30 years. Also it would lead to celebrities choosing to no longer attend things like the Oscars, or most importantly for a comedians career, their stand up specials. All because Chris Rock sued Will Smith and got paid for it.
Every comedian out there would see this and would suddenly take a interest in intentionally going too far. They'd do their research. Have their people do the research for them if they're big enough and then plan it all out to target somebody that they feel they can piss off enough to get that person to get up and Pull a Will Smith on them.
Non celebrities will find ways to ruin the fun too by trying to get some money out of it then no more stand up comedy at all. The Oscars and every other award show, or any sort of event that has someone standing on a stage talking will no longer book a comedian, and every comedian out there will hate Chris Rock for the rest of his life.
The TV Show "Everybody hates Chris" will suddenly become a big time Meme that'll haunt Chris and that's pretty much it. With that all being said, Chris Rock did the right thing in not suing. The man is not hurt, and he's already rich so he doesn't need to sue anyone for cash.
i don't think a bullet would hurt christ lol.
The Rock would have caught that attempted slap making Will stand there looking foolish trying to get out of Rocks tight grip on live tv.
Security comes and collects Will and escorts him out. Rock just smiles and continues on with the rest of the show as everyone laughs.
A day later the Will getting thrown out of the Oscars Uncle Phil Memes start to roll in and Jada is so embarrassed that she demands a divorce. The kids never speak to Will again and nobody wants to ever work with him again. So he gets a regular job some where.
Chris Rock makes a joke about it at some point and some where Will is watching in anger.
The end.
Hmm. Yeah either that or he decides to stay seated this time around after hearing the joke. Jada confronts Chris later on and demands an apology and for Will to do something leading to Will attacking Chris Rock even worse, or he refuses and she just flat out leaves him.
Divorce, takes the house. The Kids want nothing to do with him. Wills on his own. He tries to get with Nia Long but she rejects him making him even more pissed.
He's so angry that he choses to never do another movie again and eventually goes broke. Ends up getting a regular job some where because now he can't even get a job on television due to nobody wanting to work with his unstable ass.
One day he sees Chris Rock again and...you guessed it. He attacks the man again and ends up in Prison for assault.
Also sounds like a Black mirror episode.
Maybe, but then he'd might end up ruining the Matrix, which could very well lead to his career going down the toilet, then as a last resort he ends up doing Wild Wild West anyway on a much smaller budget.
Then he goes back to doing Fresh Prince of Bel Air with his real life wife, Nia Long.
Real Reality: A list movie star
After the Time Traveling Changes: TV Star
Meanwhile Jada Pinket is now a multi time Oscar winning actress alongside her new Husband.
Will sees this knowing what he knows from the real reality and screams. Attacks Chris Rock again one day out of anger..
Sounds like an episode of Black Mirror.
Since it's Men in Black 3 I think he'd rather use the time traveling to go back and do some damage to Chris, but then again once he gets to the past he'd probably end up looking to get with some other woman over Jada to avoid all the drama. Flash forward to the present and he's suddenly married to Nia Long instead.
If Chris Rock pressed charges he'd pretty much lose his comedian card for life. Everybody knows that a comedian is one of the biggest intentional assholes in the world because their job is to make a joke out of just about everything.
and this isn't exactly Chris Rocks first joke that went over the line. Will Smith is just a special kind of sensitive if this incident was even real.
That line was there, but then it got erased by the eraser.
ill see myself out.
Agreed, if anything Cage might have been a good Lex Luthor or some other character from the Superman universe like perhaps Perry White.
I thought the ending left the film kinda eh for me, but all in all the story ok. I agree on giving it a 7 out of 10.
