It's here:

But for some reason doesn't show in the search results, odd.
I have reported my post to the mods so they can alert the website developer as the problem may affect other records too.
Monolith powers:
- Can't be cut into by engineers on the moon (if I recall correctly), so could possibly slice through big ships
- Multiplies quickly in the billions if not trillions, could become a serious threat quickly due to above or below reasons
- Swallows up things into itself, since it's a wormhole or something
These simple things could be quite serious problems for anyone!
Adding the laugh track would have made it look stupid like a lot of sitcom shows today. I am almost at the end of the second and final season with no laugh track, and have loved the show.
There is also a making of documentary and they showed a clip with the laugh track added and it did seem like a whole different and "stupid" show. I prefer to pickup on my own where it should be funny by understanding what the writer is trying to do.
I'd say that, for me, probably about 50% of each episode is so-so, 25% is quite funny and another 25% contains gems which make you glad you stuck around for, usually one or two really strong gags per episode. The talking to his gun thing got very tiring for me quickly but after almost two seasons I now find a chuckle when he does it because it's played so straight.
Just a bit of fun, perhaps.
I remember Lost as being one of the first American shows which highlighted to me the casual use of 'hey' as a greeting.
Maybe written out of the show at an earlier stage is a better option.
Pure distraction technique, I'd say.
He was a bad-ass. Loved his over-the-top costume, but wondered how much of a burden it might have been during body combat. I was disappointed we didn't see his face.
Hehe yes, especially with that hair and costume, and when we could hear his thoughts, "Father, I don't understand..."
I noticed this and assumed he was letting them get real close, or give the false impression he didn't see one overhead, etc, so he could strike with surprise. It was spoken in the film that the ninja uses trickery and illusions as weapons.
I admire its purity. :)
What for, exactly?
Please don't lump all men into the same basket. If I thought all women were like the bad ones I've encountered, I would never have met some of the most wonderful people in my life.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I imagine you're in a small minority. The first film was designed as a stand-alone film with no plans for a sequel, so it's quite a different animal to the sequels.
After the huge success of the first one, parts 2 and 3 were produced together, and the budget and every other part of the film making would have been done quite differently, and perhaps a little rushed.
I personally love how they revisit the past and see themselves going back in time the first time, it's crazy fun! The third was a lot of fun also.
Apart from the 'Han Shot First' thing, I am fine with everything else that has been done, as from memory they either enhance scenes or link back to things in the prequels. Some things I feel didn't need changing, but I can see why most of them were done. Except for Han shooting first!
Yes, maybe a whole new cast, everyone 15 years older, a different era. In the middle of their careers.
I always thought a TV show based around the characters at the age of the TMP-TWOK era would be something I'd really love to watch.
I was expecting a parody with Ewoks... disappointed! :)
That's exactly right. if you read Nimoy's book and stuff by Shatner, it mentions how the character began and how it evolved.
From day one he was always a huge hit with the ladies, as evidenced by receiving more fan mail than Shatner, and even making Shatner a little jealous, and Roddenberry milking Spock's popularity and using it to the point it pissed off Nimoy.
Gave me a chuckle, thanks.
Thanks for letting me know, so I know to not accidentally pick it up! Hehe.
Maybe he could remake THX1138. add in some cute little furry animals, or a jive-talking wise-ass rabbit-kangaroo-type creature.
