I would also want to watch this classic for the 1st time through the eyes of an adult or, even better, in 1973 at a packed theater on a big wide screen. Thanks for making it clickable Shining and THe Birds on such a list?? no way, Cannibal Holocaust should be there though, because slaying a giant turtle for the sake of a movie goes too far. The first time I saw it, a couple of years ago and after having seen a lot of stuff, I wasn’t really scared to be honest, it disturbed and shocked me though like only a handful of movies have ever done. I didn't expect it to be so good; it lives up to its hype so many years after its release and may have been equaled but never bested IMO. Another sensational classic from the same period is of course Jaws: 10/10. "Favorite is The Changeling -1980" Very decent choice there. 3 of my favorite horror movies are The Resurrected(1991), Candyman (1992) and Texas Chain saw Massacre (1974) the HM video may be by a glam metal band, could it be Twisted sister - Leader of the pack? It shows a girl in her room https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO_brEreGLw The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)5082 reviews in total http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120737/?ref_=adv_li_tt Shawshank Redemption, however, I saw this one more than 15 years ago. In any case, I was impressed by this movie and astounded by the fact that it bears very tiny similarity to S. King's story of the same name. Adding 1 more: The Holy Mountain [La montaña sagrada] (1973) Terrific direction and imagery Probably Under the Skin (2013), sci-fi horror Blindness (2008) Brutti, sporchi e cattivi (1976) Caligula (1979) Don’t Look Now (1973) Eraserhead (1978) Lilya 4-Ever (2002) Could it be The Wizard (1989)? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098663/?ref_=adv_li_tt Check this out MovieChat.org It is, as far as I know, by far the most similar to imdb's forums
