Wrong. The vague implication he was a child molester was DELIBERATELY REMOVED as I stated. Also, yes he became an anti-hero in the sequels, I'm well aware of that. The remake has to compete with those too, it doesn't exist in a fantasy world where no sequels were made to the original.
Tell him to watch the first episode of "Freddy's Nightmares" then.
Freddy. Pinhead is lame. C'mon, a guy with pins all over his face? Gimme a break.
I can't help but point out the stupidity of the replies here, I don't care how many years ago it was. Like...almost nobody grasps the context of the question! It's hilarious.
So to give the first actual answer here...I think we never see him because he's now a house-husband. Callahan wears the pants and it's George's job to take care of the home and look pretty for her. That's why she doesn't hook up with anyone else in the sequels. She's still with George.
I think you mean "freeze before I blow your gosh-darn knees off eggroll!"
If you were the TV version anyway
Considering these, and the fact that he's a florist, I'd say it's intentional but probably nothing more than a subtle implication on the writer's part just to see if anyone notices. Writers do that kinda thing all the time, it's part of the medium. I doubt the filmmakers or actors even noticed.
Remember this is a 1984 film with very blatant gay stereotypes so if the character was gay, It'd be crystal clear now regardless of how sly they attempted to be (just look at 'Nightmare on Elm St. 2'. That was "subtle" in 1985!)
By the same token though, florist says something by this film's standards. So...I don't think the character is gay but I think he is written with the hope that someone will ask the question.
I don't get why 10 year old John had to tell him at all. Why didn't adult John already have that instilled in the terminator? How did he not? Seems like it would be an unavoidable aspect of reprogramming a killing machine.
I just posted about how changing Freddy to a molester ruined the movie. One reason was the glove but apparently I was too light on it!
I haven't seen the film in years and just assumed there was more of the glove pre-Freddy's death that I had forgotten. I only remembered the scratches on the girl. I didn't know that was the only establishment of the thing!
I guess my statement of "he uses the glove...somewhat" in my thread was a little too lenient.
The boyfriend in Friday the 13th VII
Not even in Michigan?
Kinda sounds like "Skinner" (1993) but I don't think there are any teens in it.
It was shown in the southeastern U.S. from Dec. 1982 til May 1983 as "The Scaremaker", mostly in Florida. The earliest opening I believe was on Dec. 3, 1982 in Jackson, Tennessee.
As "Girls Nite Out" it premiered on Aug. 12, 1983 in Tuscon, Arizona and played multiple regions, mostly in the eastern U.S. and finished its run in New York in Feb. 1985. One last gasp in 1986: it was dusted off by a single Dade City, Florida drive-in for a 5-day run paired with "Ruthless People", Nov. 21-25.
To jump scare Trish of course! That's more important than any tent.
Don't forget, he was actually hunting Jason! Yet he resigns himself to death so quickly you'd think it was his plan the whole time. 🤔
You sure it's not the other way around? I mean, he basically stabbed Allison (and to a lesser extent Phelan) in the back all because Allison dared to talk about her own life and experiences. Is there drama with others now too?
If you've made the move to MC, how did she react to the bookends?
My brother saw this once in the 1980s and he still remembers horsehead bookends. It's probably ALL he remembers about it.
Seed is actually my favorite in the series, but I do think part 2 is the best of the original trilogy.
jackiefoxybrown I assumed that was her job until she saw an opportunity for more camp fun. She still has to earn some kind of living between these massacres right?
They saw her, they just didn't care. What do you expect, it's New York! The place where an entire apartment building can witness a woman being murdered and do nothing about it, not even call the police. Some were probably like "I wish they'd hurry up, that screaming is getting on my nerves. 😡 "
