I just try to treat others with respect and let God do the heavy lifting.
You can't make people act a certain way. Only yourself.
I think the internet has brought out the worst in people. People wouldn't say half the things they do online to a stranger in person!
It's quite sad.
The internet can be a great thing but I also see it being used for pure evil all too often.
God gave us all free will.

Romans 12:19
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

I sleep well at night knowing everything will be made right and that God is in control. 🙂
The sore arm seems to be a pretty normal reaction.
I got the flu shot once and got so sick from it. Never got it again.
I used to get the flu once every year or two but I haven't even had a cold, let alone the flu since I started taking a daily probiotic around 3 years ago.
Works wonders for me!
I read posts more than comment on them (as you can see my total is only 100 and I've been here since right before the imdb boards closed) but I appreciate that.
I just remembered another movie I rewatched last week was Backcountry.
I agree with missmargo.
I know a man who is an interrogator but you would never ever know it as he is always as calm as can be! He must get it all out at work!
I think if it's a violent game it desensitizes them but I think the percentage it would actually influence them to act upon it is small. There's other things going on in their lives to encourage them to that degree.
I think it's unhealthy to be constantly exposed to violent games or movies.
Personally I think having a mother and father around and available for them makes a big difference.
Don't get me wrong, I know single parents who do a great job raising their kids on their own and I know one family in particular where the parents are still together but neither makes themselves "available" for their kids. The kids have been getting into a lot of trouble, from getting kicked out of school to getting arrested.
But in general I see kids more well rounded when there's stability in the family and parents are involved in their lives -- and are not afraid to say no to them.
Ok. This is my first time responding to one of these so I wasn't sure.
In that case, I rewatched August Rush.
The Case For Christ (2017) was the only movie I watched last week that I hadn't already seen.
I vaguely remember going as a kid but I remember going as a teen. It was a double date. We saw Poltergeist (I believe I had already seen it before) and I can't recall the other movie, as we went to a double feature.
The thing I do remember is I had something in my eye the entire night and I was very uncomfortable. By the time I got home, the makeup on that eye was completely off! My other eye, still in full makeup. I looked scarier than anything I saw on screen that night!
Have any of you seen Jaws on an outdoor screen while floating in a lake? Google it. I don't think I could do it! I get that creepy feeling in a pool during daylight sometimes. Logically I know there's no sharks in the pool but....
The song by Berlin you're asking about is Take My Breath Away.
Rain, snow or shine, I was outside only to come home for meals. Otherwise I was doing things like Bike riding, skateboarding, hopscotch, jump rope, Chinese jump rope, hide and seek, frozen tag, statue maker, red light green light, mother may I?, running through the sprinkler, going to the park and doing incredible tricks on the parallel bars, swimming, or if it was raining too hard we'd sit on the front porch and tell ghost stories. If we were inside it was games, drawing, playing house, or barbies, playing school or just playing records for hours on end.
We didn't go on luxurious vacations. We would go to an amusement park, museum, movie theater, the zoo or maybe a restaurant.
This only happened when my dad was on vacation.
We made our own fun and kids were always outside.
Those were the good old days. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
Are you ready kids?

Mr. Sandman - Bates Motel
It used to make me think of Halloween 2(?)...but now it's Bates Motel.
I should have thought of that! 😄
I can't handle anything Mariah Carey, Celine Dion or Whitney Houston!
