I don't know if the movie will be good, but seeing Jon feed kitten Garfield some pizza was pretty cute! 🐈 There was an episode where Martin appeared in a commercial for a tough on crime candidate for Congress. Of course Niles and Frasier are appalled, so they find a liberal candidate to their likening and donate and endorse him; but turns out he thinks he's been the victim of alien abduction at some point in his past so that sinks his candidacy! It's a funny episode, but the idea that such a turn of events would keep a left-winger from winning In Seattle is even funnier! If you don't like the ending, there's hundreds of Harlequin novels with the ending you want! I love the last scene including the sound of Joe's shoes clicking as he walks away. It's so real. I just wish they had not used the soaring music at the very last second. The silence of the hall was more powerful. "Well, thats a clean sweep! I added Glenn Ford -- a top 50's star -- to the possibles. Thoughts?" Hmm..I usually think of him as a "westerns" actor, but he might have worked. He doesn't really do it for me in the looks department, though. Gary Cooper would have been perfect in his younger days, but he was 57 by then. He's still one the sexiest "movie stars" ever. Peter O'Toole could have done Shep justice, but he was too young and unknown in the US. Sean Connery was about to become a huge star and he could have been good, but he was also too young and unknown. Jimmy Stewart. It's one of my favorites and I think the "miscast" narrative is overblown. However, Grant would have been good, but he was even older than Stewart. It's a hard no on Hudson and Holden. Sinatra wouldn't be right either. Dean Martin was hot, but he was 40 already by 1958. Gregory Peck might be a possibility, but did he ever do a light romance? Roman Holiday is technically a rom-com, but it's really pretty serious. Rod Taylor would have been good because he was ruggedly handsome and always looked good in the tailored fashions of that time, but he was only 28 and still pretty unknown. I don't think it's that bad. It's interesting just as a window into mid-century air travel. It's too slow and the suspense just kind of fizzles out, but I kinda liked it in spite of that. It could have been a lot better, but it was probably pretty cool to see on a big screen in 1954. She's downright scary looking these days. If I saw her on the street, I would get cold chills and get as far away as I could. Everybody wants to slow down the aging process , but turning yourself into something out of a horror movie is a sure sign of mental decline. Hero. Period. The acting on Endeavour is simply fantastic. Probably some of the best I've ever seen, but it's all cool. You are right, it's not. It's better! Totally agree with Carol Burnett. The rest of the cast of her show were hilarious, but she was so bland and unfunny. Sheldon on Young Sheldon is very blah compared to the rest of the cast and characters. It's weird because on TBBT Sheldon was my favorite. Around 25 and most of those are the ones from the 90s. No, it's one of those things that sounds good in theory; but the reality is pretty blah... You forgot The Quiet Man. No. He's one of the greats. No, but I had a friend in elementary school who did. I don't know why she did that because she was a totally normal kid from a normal family, all of whom I liked. I did not like it when they showed it to us in elementary school, but as an adult I love it. I think you need to know some history and culture of France to enjoy it and kids can't really know that stuff before middle school. "From mid Season 3 onward might as well called it That Pot Smoker's Show." Yep, that's exactly what it became. I didn't watch it in first run, but I've been watching it for the last few months and the smoking in a circle gag has gotten old. Kitty and Red would have known that was going on in their own basement! They weren't inattentive parents. 🙄 Pre-Amy was the best. I always wanted to see Sheldon with a non-nerdy girl. Of course, It wouldn't be realistic, but so what.... it's a sitcom! Don't like it, but I see it's use in science and engineering. I could not and would not ever learn to use it in cooking or crafting. I still think there's merit in learning via rote memorization and that's what it takes to learn the English system of measurements.
