Interracial Kissing???
Really??? Was that really necessary?
shareWhat was wrong with it?
shareNothing wrong. Was it necessary? Was it a natural kiss or forced because she white and he black so the writers could check a box?
shareI did fit the narrative of the story but yeah, Hollywood is all about box checking now.
shareYeah, it kinda did. Kinda.
And this is the problem: pushing this woke nonsense has created this mistrust and questioning the intentions:
When something like this is happening in a movie ... is it genuine or is the checkbox?
I never questioned before Snipes in Blade, Will Smith in I robot or I'm legend (and I think those characters are white in the book, at least the one in I'm legend I'm 100% was white but I didn't care), I never questioned mixed-race couples, I never questioned gays in a movie, Brokeback Mountain didn't seem like a propaganda piece. All those movies felt natural, felt like a genuine subject and that the actors were chosen because they were the best for the job.
Now, every time I see something like this I can't wonder if it's a check box, an affirmative action, some diversity hire, a race swap, a strong and independent woman that has all the masculine traits and is a "Marry Sue" because whamen ... a wokenistan bullshit to push "THE MESSAGE".
And that really sucks. But at least they are dumb enough to push "THE MESSAGE" with a tank, with an aggressive lack of ANY subtlety so usually it's quite obvious. But too bad that even the genuine ones that are not overtly woke start to be judged by the same standards ...
And now to prepare my self for the idiotic comments from lovers of the woke ...
💯 I couldn't have said it better!
shareDid you honestly feel any chemistry between the two of them? Chloe looked pretty grossed out having to do that
