I haven't seen Tsotsi but Beasts of No Nation would definitely qualify as a non-King Africa movie as it has a black African protagonist.
What I really had in mind before the thread was hijacked by the pedantic Burk48917 was a search for major American-made movies with a black African protagonist that do not involve being or becoming King (or other equivalent position). Beasts of No Nation definitely qualifies for that even under the clarified rules.

Here, since you ignored it once, here are movies that meet the new rules you've set forth. Incidentally, I've now given you more examples of movies without "kings", than you could give examples that did...and you had to include cartoons.
