Is Ep7 the worst SW movie?
?

Aren't we a little tired of discussing what is "best" and what is "worst"?
Force Awakens was just forgettable and so jumbled I barely remember anything about it, aside from Han Solo being killed by his son, plus with no explanation on how everybody got screwed over again after the Empire was defeated, I just ignore it.
IMHO, Revenge of the $#!+ is not only the worst Star Wars movie, but one of the worst movies ever made, period.
Hateful maid Chracters, Cheap Contrivances and blatent Contradictions with the original trilogy, all for the purpose of drawing cheap emotion out of the viewer.
How you can make the world a better place:
Don't shop at Wal-Mart.
No, Blackjack - TFA is WORSE than the great Prequel ROTS.
Why are you here if you haven't seen the movie yet?
Wrong Blackjack!
Sith is a flawed masterpiece, original and imaginative, with a killer outcome. Force Awakens is a flaw rehashing a masterpiece, rushed, badly written and without ideas.
But to each its own, you get what you deserve...😉
de gustibus non est disputandum
Hey Blackjack254, I agree on all counts. Only I would say that TFA is the worst movie ever made, while ROTS is only marginally better than that.
If you like intelligent movies, then these two have to be at the top of the major disappointment list.
How exactly is ROTS "less intelligent" than any of the other SW movies?
Let's face it, great and fun as they may be, the SW movies do not exactly raise the bar for movie intelligence.
If it has to be explained to you, then it is probably a waste of time trying. In a nutshell, however, ANH and TESB are two well thought out movies that are not so easy to criticise within the scope of fantasy fiction. ROTS and TFA, on the other hand, are so badly thought out that they are impossible to defend.
Lucas (who turned stupid after TESB) created a fictional world that within it had certain rules. For example, we are presented with Jedi who fight with laser swords and have a number of special powers. We accept this as part of his fictional creation, and the rules he set remained consistent over those two films (and even ROTJ).
Sure, he created some silly things like storm trooper uniforms that help protect an individual from mozzie attacks (here on earth we just use insect repellent), and little ships that would drive you bananas if you had to travel long distances through space (where was the toilet for Luke as he traveled to the Dagobah system? And how did he stretch his legs?), but beyond these obvious sillinesses, the two movies dazzled with creativity, and were quite logical otherwise. If they hadn't been, I would never have become a fan, as they wouldn't have maintained my interest.
TFA is the most illogical mess I've ever seen in a major movie franchise, and ROTS is not much better. Scene after scene causes discomfort, as one recalls how good some of the previous films were, and just how far the franchise has fallen.
R1 is a welcome return to the small world of well thought out fantasy films, and for me it sits nicely alongside the first two.
I think so, the only one I kicked out of my personal head canon. I think it is a sithstain on SW's fanciest underwear, the OT. Hard to wash it out without ruining the texture.

Yes.
shareAs much of A New Hope Awakens was a plot clone. Id still go with the Gungan and pod racing loving Phantom Menace and I hate Sand Attack Of The Clones being the worst. Both Jar Jar and Hayden Christensen are hard to top.
