Have any of you actually read the book?

It seems like most of you guys are concerned with this being a remake of the room with other actors and that's not really it.

You guys are saying things like "Josh is playing Denny and Zac is playing Chris R."

The movie is not just a remake, nor is it even a behind the scenes of the room. It's about Greg and Tommy's friendship.

The fact that someone has been cast as Iris Burton proves that the film will follow the book's structure of switching timeframes between 1999 and 2003.

I just think a lot of people are really wrong about what this movie is.

Heck yes! I've listen to it on audible so... many... times. It's absolutely hysterical. My friends and I have been waiting, and saying if it didn't get made, we'd be so p*ssed! So we are so freaking excited! Franco looks way better than I expected, and I KNEW Rogen would play Sandy, ha. Can't WAIT!

I'm listening to the audiobook with Greg narrating it--his Wiseau imitations are funny.

Listening to the audio book now.

I've read the book 3 times. I love it!!

I literally just finished the book about twenty minutes ago. I loved it and I can't wait to see this film.

Got mine signed by Sestosterone himself.

Seems like really nice guy in person; I showed up early for a showing he was at and got to chat a bit with him. But he also had a bit of a "deer in the headlights" vibe to him when it came to dealing with how everything turned out. Of course, if I had gone from struggling actor to cult sensation based on a film I wanted nothing to do with to successful author, I might be a little befuddled by the path, too.

He is a good sport about it, though. He did a script reading before the screening of "The Room" with three audience volunteers.

Look- it's trying to think!

Yeah, picked it up a few days ago. One the most simultaneously depressing yet inspiring books I've read in a while.

reply

Yes, I watched it. I enjoyed it.
And no. This movie is not a remake of the Room it is in the other hand an adaptation from the book - a behind the scenes , a make off the movie.
