I assume most of you posting negative reviews are teens or early 20s

As a fan of old school horror,back when CGI didn't exist yet,i will disagree with you.Comparing this to Scream is like comparing Deep blue sea to Jaws.There was nothing new or original about Annabelle.It ripped-off elements of what made the Conjuring scary and tried to build a story around it.
Unfortunately the story and characters in Annabelle were generic and uninteresting and the majority of scares just didn't work.IMO Annabelle seems like the kind of tame horror movie you might find on the Lifetime network.

I'm almost 30 in a few yrs, been watching Horror movies since I have recognition of existence. My first was The Lady in White!

This movie for me was average as well. I think most ghost/possession/cult movies all are generic and well aside from predictable... boring.

I liked The Conjuring a lot, even though they had her "floating" around during the possession scene! The floating, pulling, flying, whatever you want to call it is what dulls it for me! It worked in The Exorsist, maybe another movie or two, but sheesh, let.it.go!

This movie was 4/10 for me. I don't normally number rate my movies, but 4/5 is average. Its like a 2.5/4, like a 3/5, you get me.

I must say I also loved that Annabelle didn't move. The only moving doll movie I want to watch is Chucky! So there was a bonus!

Idk what late teens early 20's crowd like. I think different strokes for different folks but no sense in fighting for what others like that's different than your own taste! Though that's just my opinion.

I'm also not too picky with sgows and movies b/c they're here to entertain us right! Yay, okay then...

I'm 29 and this movie sucked! I was actually excited to watch this movie because I watched the conjuring and loved it. I guess I had high expectations for this one to be good. I was very disappointed. The development of the story was terrible. The "scary" scenes were corny and forced. I stopped watching 20 min before it ended.

I was thinking the exact opposite - those giving positive reviews must be teens or in their early 20s. I gave it a 4/10. It was boring and didn't grab me at all. A pitiful cash grab!

I'm 48 and I didn't like it. Just that.
