Never trusting imdb ratings again

My poor, poor friend. You just do not understand cinema, do you? If you wanted to see an action-packed film with absolutely no character development and worthless script-writing, then you should have watched Avengers instead. As for the ratings this movie got, they are too low. Next time you want to check IMDb before watching something, try looking at the reviews. It says a lot about you that you judge art by the numbers of stars it got. But who am I kidding, you must be either too young or too insensitive to the finer things to perceive art in cinema.

This film has much more going on than what meets the eye, so to speak. The internal struggle of the main character, who is torn between morality and taking the easy way out is what struck me as particularly rich in this film. In addition, visually, this picture's sepia color scheme-and the nostalgia that it evokes-was stunning. I could go on, but there are many reviews that will do a better job than me describing the mastery in this movie. I logged in for the sole reason of answering your ignorant comment. If you do not like the movie, do not blame IMDb ratings. They are what they are. Ratings. Now go watch The 100 or Transformers, or whatever you consider to be a ''good movie''.

I agree in fact add - Imitation Game and Mr. Holmes to that list - yeah the acting is good but the scripts are either boring or weak. Suggest, if you aren't doing so already, go to Redbox or the public library - you can pop them put faster and it's a lot cheaper and less time consuming.

I personally would have only given this movie 4-5. I have watched many movies with an imdb rating of only 4.2 and they have been great

a violent year and i think i saw 2 maybe 3 "violent" scenes if u even wanna call getting punched in the face violent.

The visuals in this movie were awesome, the acting was great, and the plot was interesting. It was just too slow a film for some people's tastes. 8.5/10

"Literally NOTHING happens" ... except for hijackings; thefts; beatings; shootouts; foot chases; vehicle chases; prowling; death by accident; death by suicide; marital discord; threats; business intrigue; legal maneuvering; moral dilemmas, deception, and an accidental animal death ... but other than that, nope, nothing at all!
