Can't bring myself to see this movie

Um...it's because I don't like the cast at all! I can't imagine these new unproven people in these iconic roles especially Pattinson as a moody Bruce Wayne & Zoe as Catwoman. If it was Colin Farrell as Bruce then ok. The rest of the cast also looks out of place to me too. I guess I'm just old school & not into this new theme or the film industry is trying too hard to force this on us viewers 🤔. Not into this & it feels inorganic. Opinions?

It is more helpful if an opinion is posted by someone who actually watched the movie.

I wasn't a fan of Pattinson or Kravitz before this, but I totally back both of them now.

i watched it over two days. it's not bad for a superhero movie.

watched most of it last nite, the last one i watched before it was batman returns '92

Why does every actor have to be proven or established to play an iconic role well? Who was Christopher Reeve before Superman? Who was Daniel Craig before James Bond? Sometimes it's nice not having a big name because it shows they were picked because they were right for the part and not picked just because of how bankable they are as a movie star. Star casting can take me out of a movie at times honestly.

Excellent point. Sometimes a "name" star is great, sometimes you want an unknown. Bond generally works better with somebody who isn't a household name, A-lister.

My opinion is that Robert Pattinson's still trying to shed his Twilight reputation, but if you've seen him in roles like The Lighthouse, your fears should be allayed.

Pattinson knocks it out of the park. The supporting cast are (in my opinion) awesome.

Kravitz is good. She's not brilliant, but she is solid as Catwoman. She just isn't quite as good as other cast members like John Turturro and Colin Farrell (who nails Penguin; NAILS the role).

I was the same way and watched it begrudgingly this week. It's better than I expected and didn't feel at all like 3hrs. Pattinson surprised me. He was actually very good as Batman but still don't care for Kravitz. She comes off more as a diversity hire than anything. I like Jeffery Wright but his portrayal of Gordon needed more development. Collin Farrell was awesome as Penguin.

It said it’s old school tho. Well… how radical, brah!

Okay, well that’s you and A LOT of whiners up on this site! (Old is the mind killer.) But “unproven”? Lol…. just cuz you’re proudly out of touch and close-minded like so many up in this reactionary joint, doesn’t mean most people are.

Yea, but can’t bring yourself to view this celebrated film but yet at the same time it’s supposedly being “forced” on those like you (gawd, I love you real movie audiences not on these boards).

In closing…

Holy goddamn petty AF boomer xoomer, Batman! (This place obviously has no shortage of these.) Thank goodness these boards don’t represent most of society.

Um..okay? Why does the story of Batman need to keep being told? Why not let it rest for a long time before retelling it u know? Yea, um, they did that with Superman so when it was retold it felt fresh again. It's too soon for Batman to be remade & yes it feels forced to me & yes it seems like they wanna one-up the last series & that's so wrong!
