Um...it's because I don't like the cast at all! I can't imagine these new unproven people in these iconic roles especially Pattinson as a moody Bruce Wayne & Zoe as Catwoman. If it was Colin Farrell as Bruce then ok. The rest of the cast also looks out of place to me too. I guess I'm just old school & not into this new theme or the film industry is trying too hard to force this on us viewers 🤔. Not into this & it feels inorganic. Opinions?
shareI didn't go to theaters, but I finally watched it on HBO Max last night.
Pattinson was quite good. I really didn't like him as Bruce Wayne, but I think it more because of how he was written than Pattison's performance. He was too moody and brooding, couldn't really believe he was capable of being Batman, but I think that was the point.
He was awesome as Batman, and I dare to say it might have been my favorite interpretation.
Kravitz and Wright weren't amazing but they weren't terrible either.
Colin Farrell was phenomenal and so was Paul Dano.
I didn't like it as much as The Dark Knight, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It was a worthy Batman film.
I am probably older than you, but I remember every Batman that was announced got the same weird outrage by people who weren't even going to let the actors prove themselves. I remember people have a lot of doubt about Keaton doing Batman and look how that worked out. Don't always judge an actor for a role that you didn't especially like. I think after Twilight was said and done Pattinson has proved himself several times since.
I was only 6 when Batman 89 came out, but I remember my dad taking me to see it and him saying hewas surprised at how good Keaton was because his casting raised some eyebrows.
People thought it might be a campy Adam West type movie because Keaton was primarily known as a comedic actor in those days.
Truth be told, Pattinson might be my favorite Batman and least favorite Bruce Wayne. I can't decide if I like Keaton or Bale better as Bruce.
