Interracial couples are the future, accept it

Seeing a lot of complains about Catwoman being black as expected from the usual suspects. Casting interracial couples is the future and here to stay and it is the right move going forward for Hollywood as it better represents America's demographics and how things will be in the future. Complaining about that exposes you as a racist. Don't do it.

Agreed

reply

Stop your preaching and patronizing. (Then you people wonder why so many hate you.....)

reply

But don't you want the racists to expose themselves in public?

reply

"Complaining about that exposes you as a racist. Don't do it."

Don't twist a shoulder patting yourself on the back.

reply

I guess they want to cast a black woman until at least one of them is as good in the role as either Hathaway or Pfeiffer. I don't see that happening any time soon.

reply

Pfeiffer was good but Hathaway was meh. Kravitz can easily surpass her.

reply

LOL

ANNE HATHAWAY WAS TERRIBLE AS CATWOMAN...EVEN HALLE BERRY WAS BETTER THAN THE PRINCESS DIARREA.

reply

Eartha was unbelievable. And that was 1967.

reply

Eartha Kitt was pretty purrfect for that role.

reply

And purring in Santa Baby. My favorite Christmas song.

reply

And Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove!

reply

Orson Welles went further, calling her, "the most exciting woman on earth".

reply

Certainly in the running, yeah.

reply

OP is racist.

reply

The proportion of mixed race couples in Hollyweird productions does not reflect reality. Of course the Woke Religion think they can preach it, but Xtains better not!

reply

Well let’s see. Catgirl Zoe is going with Channing Tatum. Batman - Robert Pattinson’s ex-fiancée was FKA twigs. Colin Farrell has a son by a beautiful black model, Kim Bordenave. And for a long time, Nicole Kidman was seeing Zoe’s dad.

reply

Stop posting facts, dammit!

reply

Zoe herself is mixed race too. I live in an area with a lot of mixed-race couples, and I am also mixed race. I was very baffled when I came to this site and saw so many people complaining about depictions of interracial couples in the movies as if it's something bad and improper, when in reality it's something that is just a normal part of life. Not to be cliche, but we humans are all one race. I don't get why some people feel the need to hold onto backwards tribalistic thinking.

reply

Actually Lisa Bonet and Lenny are mixed race too.

Mixed race couples - families - are everywhere. I don’t understand a lot of these posts. I don’t know where some of the people are living. Their philosophies are so dated. It didn’t used to be like this. When the IMDB boards existed there was such an exchange of knowledge and opinions - really relevant - directly related to films. But as of 2017, they had to shut it down because of so much hate. Hate was unleashed and it is everywhere but it is especially on this website. What’s new to this site is that people feel like they can comment on a film without seeing it and refusing to see it. And there is very little insight. You’re lucky if you get someone to converse who has factual information. This is a place where a lot of the people share the same ideas so they feel comfortable here. They have an approving audience. Some I noticed have never traveled and others have no knowledge of history. Some think the movie they just saw (actually didn’t see to be more precise) was the original. This site is supposed to be about movies - that’s why it’s called moviechat.org. I can still find people who are really knowledgeable, but it is very difficult. I think most are in the UK. I can tell because of the spelling, grammar and sentence structure and then there’s just respect. Others are Canadian because they say - I am so glad I live in Canada.
