Why did the villain have to be gay?
What was the point of making King Candy effeminate? Would he have been any less effective a villain had he been straight?

shareI didn't see the gay thing at all. I just thought of him as being very clown-like. Bozo definitely comes to mind for me.
shareUmm, they never said King Candy was gay. Just because someone is effeminate doesn't mean they're gay; just like how someone is hyper masculine it doesn't mean they're straight.

He wasn't gay, just flamboyant. There's a difference!
shareYou're trying to be offended.

I didn't think he was gay or effeminate but his mannerisms did seem to be a throwback to old Disney characters which I liked before he was revealed to be evil.
shareNever once did I think King Candy was gay. You're insane; stop watching so much Bravo network.
Alan Tudyk (who is a brilliant actor) played the character and he's not gay. Get a grip.
