These alien invasion can happen in real life

So the Universe is pretty huge and its very possible that this can happen in real life. After watching the movie I started researching more about aliens and found that they might be real. This video is also very https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyOJPeYJ_ss

So it is possible that alien invasion is possible.

I was reading a funny article about alien invasion movies that was written to describe BATTLE LOS ANGELES. The article said that our planet has been here for billions of years and had they attacked even as little as a hundred years earlier we would have had no way to defend our planet, if they came a few centuries later we would be way more advanced now and would probably defeat them easily and they always pick that exact middle ground where we stand a chance against them.

reply

That article is even dumber than this comment thread. It really thinks that we would just need a few hundred years of technological advancements to defeat an alien species that would have to be MILLIONS of years more advanced than us?

That is basically like saying "Sure..we can easily kill ants TODAY...but give them a couple years and they will give us a good fight."

reply

I've seen them . My mother has seen them also. There is nothing I believe more than the existence of aliens. I know quite alot on the subject too. Done alot of research and read alot of books on it. Very interesting stuff. NASA knows alot more than they say.

"There is nothing I believe more than the existence of aliens."

So you do not believe more that if I slap your face, you'll feel some pain?
Or that the toaster in your kitchen is used to make toasters?
Or that water is wet?

You believe in the existence of aliens more than in those things?

Thanks for that info 'bro'. When's the next Metallica concert and can you pass me the joint please?

But in all seriousness;

I'm sure Aliens exist with how vast the Universe it, even our Galaxy is ridiculously huge and on top of that there's literally trillions of other galaxy, so chances of very advance extra terrestrial life is virtually guaranteed.

The thing is, do they have the technology to detect us on our little rock floating in the vast cosmos?

You picked that video out of all the other 'there might be aliens watching us right now' videos on YouTube? Brilliant 

I don't think aliens would have any interest in our planet and humans.
We're also already very good at destroying the planet ourselves, no need for exterior people to assist with that.

reply

This is true. If life out there could reach us, they could reach a lot of planets. Theres all sorts of planets being discovered that are somewhat similar to ours. So...
1)Its unlikely they would need anything on our planet, except maybe us as slaves or something. Even then, their tech would probably have outgrown that need.

2) People usually never stop to think maybe aliens have been here. Did a fly-by and decided theres no intelligent life here. Think of how close we are to apes in dna. In that 1% deference we have symphonies, rocket ships, hubble telescope, etc. All it would take is too be that much smarter than us too make them think we blithering idiots. Animals in a zoo. When was the last time anyone has ever stopped to talk to an ant?

3)We always think of flying saucers and grey people that walk like men. Our perception of what an alien looks like or how they travel is a bias perspective.

There was some really old philospher, i forget his name. But like 1200's or something. But he theorized that earth wasnt the center of anything. In the sky. Out in the abyss, there was another planet of people, just like them. And they habititated their planet just like us. And they got around in but rowing ships. Because thats was the most advanced technology at the time.

Our views of aliens and our technology are bias sci-fi. Intelligence is a man-made term or invention, if you will.

If you found ants had created a small shopping mall, you'd probably take an interest.

reply

Like an ant farm?

reply

The thing that gets me is, why do we think aliens are more advanced? Maybe we're the more advanced aliens.

reply

Im sure we are more advanced than 99% of whats out there. We assume aliens are smarter in general because if they were able to reach us they would have to have more advanced technology. In the spectrum of the universe and the unknown out there, there could be species a million times older than ours.

reply

Thats exactly what happened in AVATAR man, it was like an alien invasion movie in reverse.

reply

Lol because for them to get here they have to be vastly more advanced than us. Use your brain!

reply

You on crack dude?? You said the earth formed 13 million years ago.

IT WAS FOUR POINT FIVE BILLION YEARS.

reply

We may be the most advanced, but mathematically in a universe with a large enough sample size, it simply becomes a remote possibility. It just depends on how much life is out there.

reply

Of course an alien invasion is always a possibility in real life since the Universe is so immense HOWEVER based on science and logic IF an alien species is actually advanced enough to travel interstellar space to reach us we would have ZERO chance defending ourselves against it.

their tech would be eons ahead of us unlike Hollywood movies where it's usually just a tad more advanced in their weapons etc.

reply

Yes you are right

reply

If they're so advanced, they would care very little of us and ignore us.

reply

The thing is, if they can reach us, they can reach a ton of other fruitful planets. We're discovering more and more believed to be in a habitable zone.

reply

Not really.. maybe they are not here to 'invade' us but rather we're in their way for whatever reason so they would just destroy our planet etc.

No different than say a human destroying an anthill because someone wants to build a new house etc or lumber company is logging in that area.

reply

Hey Rogue….

Maybe Hollywood could CGI them to death. Cause that's made winners at the box office! 

If there was a real alien invasion, and they have the power and technology to travel between stars to get here, then we're doomed. There is no way that we could mount a resistance against them, it would be like War of the Worlds, but without the happy ending.

“This isn't a war," said the artilleryman. "It never was a war, any more than there's war between man and ants.”

There wouldn't be any war, there would be an extermination. Like alien pest control, and we'd all be annihilated.

reply

If they wanted our planet to habitat in, then their would be dangers to them. If their biology is suitable to this planet, they would perhaps be vulnerable to all the dieaeses and viruses and such. Weve spent a lifetime building this stuff up.

Also, there literally unlimited planets to choose from. If they coule reach us they could reach a million others. We are discovering more and more planets in what scientists think to be habitable zones.

reply

One thing no one seems to mention is money though, even if someone had the ability to reach us they would have to have a pretty compelling reason to do so in numbers, it would cost an absolute fortune, we couldn't even afford to send 500 people to mars i would wager.

reply

It already happened.
