This movie is TERRIBLE.

I saw this tonight with four friends. There were 7 people total in the theater.

This movie is TERRIBLE. Terrible to the point that it's funny, but still terrible. The dialogue seems like it was written by a ten year old. The action is pretty good, except for the final battle.

The comedy and "one liners" are just bad. It's nearly on the same level as Collateral Damage.

It will probably be a cult classic because of how bad it is (ala Punisher: War Zone). I think people are giving it a free pass because it's Arnold. Anyone else makes this movie, it would be getting skewered right now. I'm excited he's back on the big screen too, but I swear, sometimes people have blinders on.

It's kinda meant to be like that. It's the same kind of action film that Commando is.

I saw this opening day and the theater was about half full, around 50 people or so. Most of them were 60 and older. I was by far the youngest (I'm 23) and I went with my uncle (58) and almost everyone was even older than him.

I thought that it was a really fun film to watch, with good action throughout, with no dull moments. The audience seemed to enjoy the film laughing at most of the jokes.

I have to admit I was surprised by the age group of the audience, most Arnold fans would be in their late 40s and 50s, yet these people were in their 60s and 70s.

I'm glad that Arnold is back on the big screen!

My parents were huge Arnold fans, and if they were still alive, they would be in their late 60's, so I think that's a pretty realistic age group for his fans.

I thought the movie was decent enough. But I went into it expecting and Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, not flippin' Shakespeare in the park.

Who put acid in my spam?

Most Arnold fans are not in their 40's to 60's that's BS. I'm a massive fan and I'm 28. I know loads of fans my age. I was born in the 80's and grew up in the 90's and Arnold was a major player during that time. Despite the fact that his movie's declined during the second half of 90's his earlier films such as Predator, Commando, True Lies, Conan & the Terminator movie's were all still watched.

Sorry but who do you think made Arnie a star when he became famous for films like The Terminator, Predator, Conan, Commando etc. All those people who watched those films when they were first released would be well into their 40's by now. He was a star before you were even born.

I'm writing this signature in bold so people know it's a signature

Yea it looks like a generic action film that is using the publicity from all the cartel violence on the border.

I am not going to see. It just looks corny and generic. Its the same with Sly's Bullet to the Head. The Tomb looks more promising, I might see that one. With the 7.5 rating this has gotten though, it may not be all the bad.

This movie did suck. The setup was total nonsense. This felt like a tacky drive-in B-movie instead of an Arnold flick. I guess he was just ready to do anything once he started acting again.

Yup. Totally lame story.

The sheriff's deputy is murdered and what does the sheriff do...go back to his desk and sits there slowly loading one round after another into his pistol. LoL!!!!

The problem there is that they're the same thing.

Even the very best Arnold flicks - Terminator, Predator - are essentially very good B-movies. The overwhelming majority of his films, though, are exactly tack drive-in B-movies. Raw Deal, Commando, Red Heat, Eraser, End of Days, The Sixth Day, Kindergarten Cop, Running Man... I don't believe that anyone can convincingly argue that these films are substantially better than The Last Stand.

reply

That is because you wanted Terminator. It is a silly action film. It is like Commando. It is not that bad. I liked it.

You must never have seen an arnie film before in your life.

LMAO - I'm 30 mins it and NOTHING is terrible about it. It is what is you useless faux critic. The mere fact that you went into this thinking it was going to be something or than what it is - is laughable. You don't even know what you're watching. Critiquing a film when you don't even know what deserves to be critiqued. Dialogue? Honestly who gives a *beep* COULD things be better - OH SURE...does it matter or effect the movie? NO. Useless nuts, it's popcorn action flick with a guy who hasn't been in a movie in a ling time. It is what it is. Keep writing your screenplay pal LMAO you twat.

There's always one...lol

You Suck...now deal with it.

Just saw it 2 days ago with my wife. We both really enjoyed it. Going into it I wasn't sure what to expect since it's not doing good box office and because of some of the opinions on this board.

We were both pleasantly surprised. Sure it was a simplistic story, which at some points lacked logic, but it was still a fun movie. "Mindless fun" as many have said.

There weren't many people in the cinema, but the ones that were there seemed to enjoy it for the most part. It's silly, but entertaining.
