Excellent movie that caters to adult sensibilities
Someone else said it best, "Superhero movies are no longer merely visual pyrotechnics for the prepubescent, popcorn-munching masses. They are films driven by questions about character and motivation, and a little existential angst." The Wolverine delivers all this and we can now add another fine film to the comic adaptation achieves right next to the best of the Iron Man and Spider-Man movies.
The Wolverine is a well-written film with superb performances all around. The script is admirable and develops the character in interesting ways, continuing and exploring themes that adults can appreciate. Maybe some of the minor backlash we see here is from those who wanted all childish ninja action? Isn't that why they are re-making Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? My advice, quit bitching about a great film like this one and simply wait for that to hit theatres.
