Parents bringing their kids

When I went to see this movie, all of a sudden a couple comes in with a kid who couldn't have been more than eight years old! I am really curious as to what justifies parents bringing their eight year old to an R- rated movie, filled with violence like this one was...

i guess violence isn't a problem, but a nipple here and there is dreadful... hypocrisy of the modern day moralist...

people like you are the reason why today's youth are a bunch of whiny little b1tches.. overly sensitive babies who get their feeling hurt by a word.. the kind of person who buys into this whole "anti-bully" movement.. if you can call it that.. shelter a child and they will grow up knowing nothing.. i bet you blame video games for kids behavior also.. i was younger than 8 when i started watching r rated horror movies.. if you don't like it, mind your own business.

Ok Einstein,, at what age should children be allowed to see R Rated movies? 7? 6? 4?
There's a rating system for a reason. Not seeing movie violence at the age of 7 will not make kids turn out to be whiny little btchs, as you suggest.
Anti-bully movement? Really? Did you really just go there? So you think it's cool to 4 or 5 people beat the crap out of someone? Yea, let's toughen up our kids by letting them get beat up.
No,, you watching r rated movies at the age of 7 and playing violent video games hasn't messed you up at all,,, lol, freakin idiot

It really depends on the individual. I was terrified of scary movies when I was little but others I know could watch them without any discernible consequence whatsoever.

I watched R-rated movies when I was a kid, nothing wrong with it. Yeah, I would get a little scared now and then, but I didn't turn out to be a criminal of any kind nor do I have any kind of trauma because of it. Give kids some credit.

this should be an 18 not an r in the uk.

That would be the family where the kid tells the parents what to do. Often it is individuals who married young, immediately had children and now you have children raising children. It's more like a sibling instead of parent/child relationship.
