Could a bar crawl like this be feasibly possible?

I'm talking the number of bars visited in one night and the amount of beer consumed in one night. Is there anywhere in the world this could be attempted? And would it be possible that you'd still be alive after 12 pints and a couple random shots?

It's absoultely possible.

Go down to Wrigleyville before a Cubs day game and there are at least 12 bars that you could walk to very easily and drink a pint at.

I wouldn't say that it's adviseable, because buying drinks at bars in major cities is ridiculously expensive these days.

This has actually become a tradition in Ireland where I live. It's called "the 12 pubs of christmas" and is especially popular in Dublin. You typically start at around 5-6pm and finish around midnight. As there are so many pubs in Dublin city centre you are always only a short walk to the next one.

Visiting that many bars would get problematic by the end, they'd have to be close and they'd have to be willing to serve clearly over-served patrons (not legal everywhere).
I'm sure millions of people drink at this level each weekend, they just can't navigate that many pubs.

I think the hardest part would be be finding 12 bars (worth visiting) within walking distance. I mean in a big city there are dozens and dozens and hundreds of bars, but I do think it'd be tough to find 12 without a good stretch of walking or something.

But yeah, 2 pints an hour for 6 hours is easy. You'd be smashed, but add in some snacks and the walks, some dancing, you'll be fine.

I very much doubt that a bar crawl like THIS would be feasibly possible. No way could people having already had 10 pints would be able to run from dozens of alien robots.

ps: you sound like you already proved its feasibility.

In 2010 a couple of friends and I did all the pubs in Cambridge (England) in one day.

At the time I think that was over 80 pubs.

There are a high number of pubs in the city centre but also some scattered in the residential estates on the periphery. Therefore the crawl was essentially split into 4 stages. We had someone drive us around the pubs in the northern part of the town (15ish pubs), walked the City centre (40ish), got picked up to do the southern part of the town (15ish pubs) and then dropped back in the centre to pick up those with late licences (10ish).

We started at 11am and finished at 2am so had roughly 6minutes in each pub (after travel time was taken into account).

In order to ensure that we didn’t die of excessive drinking we basically drank a quarter of a pint in each pub (everyone drank in each pub). There were also some ‘toasts’ to pubs which had closed down recently and we could no longer drink in.
