I'm talking the number of bars visited in one night and the amount of beer consumed in one night. Is there anywhere in the world this could be attempted? And would it be possible that you'd still be alive after 12 pints and a couple random shots?

shareThe most I have done is twenty 12 oz beers (15 pints), 20 shots, and 20 mixed drinks over the course of one night. We started at around 9 PM and finished at closing (2 AM). Keep in mind that I felt miserable afterwards, and I was in the best shape of my life physically.
I don't try anything like this anymore, but a few weekends back I did put down 7 pints at 10% ABV in an hour and a half. I just went out with some co-workers, and we were just playing that cornhole game and enjoying some beers.

Of course it's possible. My home town had a similar pub crawl, just with a different name. There was always a lot of sick on the street near the last pub.
shareConsidering it is over a whole night, honestly, that is hardly even enough alcohol consumption to get an adult sized man drunk. If we say, this takes place over 8 hours, that is 8 whole drinks that you liver has processed. So you would only be 4 drinks drunk (and you are completely sober by the morning). And even if you chugged all of them in an instant, from my reading, you would still be in the exciting early stages of drunk.
shareYou are perhaps thinking of American measures. In Britain 8 pints would get you drunk, but why are you allowing yourself 8 hours? Are you starting in the afternoon or staying until 5am? Why only one drink per hour? People do pub crawls much faster than that.

Back in my Uni days we had an event called the Ruthven Rush which was a 14km race from one end of town to the other finishing at the Uni bar, stopping at around 20+ pubs along the way where you had to down a 285ml glass of beer before proceeding to the next pub. I believe the record was around 40mins.
