I dont see how thats a Problem it influenced The Falcon And The Winter Solider and Captain America: New World Order your clearly racist LLLLLLL's
shareRacist piece of shit.
shareyour loss Racist POS
shareHe's not racist for pointing out the obvious. A piece of white culture and white cinema is now about black people.
sharewut? Apollo Creed was a major character in 4 movies. Apollo Creed is based on Muhammed Ali. Clubber Lang exists. 4 movies until you get a white contender. In the real world, the vast majority of heavyweight champs/contenders have been of black skin colour.
If anything boxing is of black culture as they are Kings at it, and have been for a very long time. Rocky isn't white culture, it's based in Philly with an Italian American because that's who wrote it. Nothing to do with white culture. Rocky was about Stallone culture.
Wot you talkin' 'bout Willis! Christ some of you Yanks are really, really dumb and are obsessed with race. Not to mention politics. It's getting really boring now.
"If anything boxing is of black culture as they are Kings at it, and have been for a very long time".
when he say culture, he mean rocky films and rocky character, not boxing sport.
"Rocky isn't white culture"
hollywood from time when rocky was made is white culture. most film you watch especially from 20th centurys have 100% white man behind camera who produce film, write story, direct, do musics etc etc
if you do not believe me find all your favorite film and look at end credits and see who produce, write, directs. then look up picture on line if this men. they are white man. look at leadership of all film company. look at who invent film (frogs). cinema is white culture.
the problem you have in west is that you want to make big deal about race. then when you make big deal about race, you get upset when you find out it is white man who create many great thing in this world then it become problem hahahahahaa
So Rocky took boxing, a sport with a history of being black-dominated, and turned it white?
So what's your big problem over a heavyweight boxing champ, and the contender......being.....black?
Seems pretty realistic to me. Maybe you have a problem with Apollo Creed and Clubber Lang also?
>hollywood from time when rocky was made is white culture. most film you watch especially from 20th centurys have 100% white man behind camera who produce film, write story, direct, do musics etc etc
Barring the grammar errors your point is vapour.
Written by an Italian American, playing an Italian American, with the nickname of ITALIAN STALLION. With a theme song from an Italian American. Produced by 2 Jewish guys.
>cinema is white culture
You're pretty much saying that the art of film is owned by whites. As if other countries do not produce cinema.
Bruv, give your head a shake. Are you seriously classing Hollywood as the whole of cinema? Hollywood is predominantly white because the USA happens to be a predominantly white nation. But did you go around asking all the Jewish producers (there are a lot), and actors if they identify as "white", because some may not. Some Italian American immigrants were not classed as whites in the USA back in the day, and it's only been a recent development. So now they are whites just so you can own their achievements?

>if you do not believe me find all your favorite film and look at end credits and see who produce, write, directs.
See above. Nonsensical point. Reaching. Grasping.
>you get upset when you find out it is white man who create many great thing in this world then it become problem
Oops, that was a tangent, wasn't it.
Please explain why I'm upset over Sylvester Stallone having light skin?
If there's an argument for race swapping for the sake of race swapping to tick boxes in movies, Creed is not the best target. It's reaching. Grasping.
So Rocky took boxing, a sport with a history of being black-dominated, and turned it white?
So what's your big problem over a heavyweight boxing champ, and the contender......being.....black?
Written by an Italian American, playing an Italian American, with the nickname of ITALIAN STALLION. With a theme song from an Italian American. Produced by 2 Jewish guys.
Please explain why I'm upset over Sylvester Stallone
>you see the west woketard make everything about race now.
Erm....you made it about race. The person I responded to made it solely about race. Which you agreed with. Then you ranted something about the person who wrote the soundtrack being white, and cinema being owned by whites, more rants about westwoketards, something, something.
The topic was about Rocky being inorganically race swapped, why a film series with a black lead should be based around white culture, and you have yet to explain why you think this.
>woketard
aaaah. I get it now. Maybe you're in the wrong place, we're talking about movies here. Not politics. I'm sure there's a far riech thread around here somewhere so you can feel at home in an echo chamber.
Now stay on topic.
Why do you think that Rocky has been inorganically race swapped? Why do you think a series of three films with a black lead, called Creed as he's Apollo Creed's son who was a black man should be based around white culture?
sorry but you were one that get upset when this original man mention that rocky is white cultures hahahaahahhahah. is grass green? is skys blue? hahahahahahhahah
i try to give you teachings over why this man is correct about rockys and film but like most western peoples now you stick head in sand because race is only issue when it suit you hahahahahahahaha.
it is the ironys i love of your west culture today. you never shut up about race now. never!! all fucking days is race race race!!! then when someone point out what rocky and film is and where it come from... then race suddenly become problem hahahahahahahhahaahh
i guess what i saying is, either you all shut face about race or you must be force to accept where rockys and all film culture come from. cannot have both ways hahahahahhaha
>hahahahahahhahah
Tell me you're 15 years old without telling me you're 15 years old.
You're the one ranting about race. Look at your post history. It's rife.
Most frequented sub...Politics to rant about race. Most common used words in BOandBarbecues posts: "white", "woketard", "race", "racist", "west culture"
Then you complain that everybody else is obsessed. Maybe try not to ignite race wars, hunting for "libtards" and finger point because you're barking up the wrong tree here. See my posts on Woman King, Rings of Power, Lenny Henry, Last Jedi etc. When it's race swapping, gender swapping inappropriately, and messing with the source material I have a problem. Creed is completely organic, and you have yet to explain why you think it isn't.
>i try to give you teachings over why this man is correct about rockys and film
No -_- you ranted about cinema being owned by white men.
That's nothing to do with what is onscreen. The race of the person who made the soundtrack is irrelevant. Your points are vapour. Irrelevant. You seem to be on a race crusade and have come to a movie forum to talk about anything but movies.
I'll ask again.....Why do you think that Rocky has been inorganically race swapped? Why do you think a series of three films with a black lead, called Creed as he's Apollo Creed's son who was a black man should be based around white culture?
>either you all shut face about race
Dude......your post history. Every other post is arguing about.......RACE.
hahahahahahahahahahahaahahhahahahahahaha!!!
you want to know when you get under someone skin on internets forum?! when they waste there free times going through post history like stalker loser hahahahahahhahahahah!!
and you lie like typical race obsess woketard. i post 1000 plus post about film and only about race in response to race obsess retard (their is many) who like to talk race all time.. then get butthurts when there race obsess get thrown back in face like you hahahahahahah!
original points - you get butthurts when first man say rocky is white culture (which in todays race obsess world is facts). you cannot accept this facts because (like all west woketard) race is important only when it suit you. i point out your hypocrit and now you stalking creep hahahaha
as i say to all you west woketard - leave race alone or have it shove down your throat where great storys like rocky come from and why we get to enjoy all this great film. your race obsess is why film is shit now.
>hahahahahahahahahahahaahahhahahahahahaha!!!
**yawn**
Still not willing to talk about what is on-screen.
Your points are vapour.
I'll ask again.....Why do you think that Rocky has been inorganically race swapped?
The only person who sees race in either the Rocky or Creed series is the OP, and YOU. I see a story about 2 different people.
> i post 1000 plus post about film
Politics and arguing about race. Thats YOU.
Your last post shows how much of a race obsessed hypocrite you are.
It's in POLITICS, and it's about RACE.
You're an activist, who sometimes talks about movies.
Are you a pro boxing fan? I admit I didn’t check all the sanctioning bodies but I’m not seeing where black men are the “Kings” of professional boxing. The demographics instead look to be all over the board and pretty similar to the UFC.
shareYou're saying heavyweight boxing has not been dominated by blacks?
Adonis Creed is in the heavyweight division. Go look up "best heavyweight boxers of all time".
Any list is pretty lopsided.
It's not a stretch to say that it's pretty realistic that a black guy is fighting a black guy in a heavyweight boxing match.
Even Rocky took 4 movies to get to a white guy. (not including Spider Rico)
And Creed fought 2 white guys in a row, gets to a black guy and all the racists come creeping out of the woodwork.
Inorganic race swapping this is not.
No I never picked one weight class nor did you in your OP. I was addressing your statement that “If anything, boxing is of black culture as they are Kings at it, and have been for a very long time.” My impression was this was untrue and now I’ve gone back and checked across sanctioning bodies. The two current heavyweight champs are not black men. Two of the four current cruiserweight champs are not black men. The two current light-heavyweight champs are not black men. The current super-middleweight champ is not a black man. Two of the three middleweight champs are not black men. The three current featherweight champs are not black men. The three current flyweight champs are not black men. The two current strawweight champs are not black men. I didn’t go into the junior weight classes but there is plainly no racial monopoly in professional boxing.
share>No I never picked one weight class nor did you in your OP
Ahem. The second sentence of my post you replied to.......
"So what's your big problem over a heavyweight boxing champ, and the contender......being.....black?"
I love how you're only talking about current, dismissed historical domination (the actual topic), and heavyweight (the division Adonis Creed is actually in). Like I said and will repeat over and over until you "get it".
"Adonis Creed is in the heavyweight division. Go look up "best heavyweight boxers of all time". Any list is pretty lopsided. It's not a stretch to say that it's pretty realistic that a black guy is fighting a black guy in a heavyweight boxing match. "
You're attempting to say that historically, blacks have not dominated the heavyweight division and that it's completely unrealistic that a black boxer in the heavyweight division is going to fight another black boxer. Are you really saying this?
I was addressing the broader point in your OP where you said boxing is black culture and the black race is the king of the sport and has been for a very long time. That is just not true. I have zero problem with a black champion and I root for and take pride in U.S. sports champions regardless of race because that’s where my loyalties are. But I’m not going to close my eyes to the fact that Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia are producing more boxing champions across the board than the U.S. including the heavyweights which has been the case for at least the last ten years.
share>I was addressing the broader point
SO you ignored the part where I said heavyweight boxing has been dominated by blacks? Because Adonis Creed is in the heavyweight division.
Historically, the heavyweight division has been dominated by blacks.
Maybe you didn't check for lists "best heavyweight boxers of all time".
Another reason why it's ridiculous to claim Creed as an inorganic race swap.
It's completely reasonable to have a black boxer fighting another black boxer in the heavyweight division for a heavyweight title.
Completely reasonable and logical.
"are producing more boxing champions across the board than the U.S."
You're attempting to say only black boxers exist in the USA, or they only count when they're from the USA?
Historically, there have been prominent black boxers outside the USA.
In Europe, South America etc
I agree with most of what you say here (except the strawman arguments attributed to me). None of this supports the premise that black men are the “kings” of the sport and “have been for a very long time.” I acknowledge African Americans dominated the heavyweight division for several decades which was the glory years for U.S. boxing. But that division is not the entire sport of boxing. And black men have not dominated the heavyweight division since at least 2007 when it became very racially diverse including the last two lineal heavyweight champs being white Europeans. I don’t expect you’ll come around to my position though so, this is the last I’ll say on the subject. I did appreciate the exchange as it caused me to research pro boxing. Perhaps you and I can find common ground on some future topic.
share>African Americans
There are black boxers in other countries you know?
It's completely realistic that a black boxer in the heavyweight division is going to fight another black boxer for the belt.
"i acknowledge African Americans dominated the heavyweight division for several decades"
aaaaaaaaaaah
CASE. POINT.
As great as the Rocky movies are, one might argue that a 70s/80s/90s franchise that centred around the world's most famous fictional boxer, was already appropriating, to some degree, a story that was mostly being lived by Black men at the time.
Ironically, just as the sport has started to see more white world champions, after four or so decades in which the sport was almost exclusively dominated by Black men, the franchise has switched from a white protagonist to a Black one.
But it was based on a real boxer, who was white, Chuck Wepber.
shareInteresting. Thank you for this information.
Still, I do find it curious that the Rocky franchise was at its peak during an era where heavyweight boxing was being dominated by Black atheletes.
that is because rocky is not about boxings it is about man who live in philadephia who happen to be boxer. that is why film like rocky endure - people loved character and they love storys of underdog like rocky. this is call mythos.
rocky has little to do with boxing sport. boxing is used in rocky as metaphore for fighting for great success in life.
and rocky cannot "appropriate" a sport which is invent by limeys in 1600s so techically anyone who no english is appropriating there creation hahahahaaaah.
Fine, but that metaphor could have applied to a Black man, just as easily, in theory (which is not to say that Stallone should have made Rocky Black, but only that it wouldn't have made that much difference to the character's essence if he had).
sharequality speak for self.
100 year from now people will remember rocky while no one will care about creeds. you need film with heart to be great and rocky have heart. creed is retarded rocky.
The 2nd movie they wrote Creed really badly. He was just an ass. I disliked the character in the 2nd after loving him in the 1st
shareWell can't black people have their own boxing franchise? Isn't it better than a Rocky remake and race swapping him for a person of color? Although I'm sure that will happen some day as well.
shareConsidering that the Creed franchise is an extension of Rocky, I would say that if black folks want their own boxing franchise then they should go start something original.
shareWell Sly handed the reigns over to Michael so it is what it is. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
sharehe really didn't. have you not seen all sly's laments in interviews lately, about the direction where they have taken the franchise? he's very disappointed.
but it is what it is. when one looks at a certain culture, which i will not name, THE PROOF IS IN THE FUCKING PUDDING. i don't need someone to tell me what i am seeing when i am looking squarely at it.
Watching two black guys beat the shit out of each other. Which you can see on any inner-city street corner. But, that one's free to watch.
shareRap music? A hard pass.
