Lead guy is just awful

Just watched this and the lead guy is one horrible actor, with his whiney gary shandling like voice, and woody allen wannabe acting.I hope he was playing the role of a whiney, nerdy, smart alec jewish kid, because if he wasn't,I hope he has a second string to his fiddle.

The one drop rule.

Save the antisemitic rant for someone who gives a *beep*

The kid is hilarious and as a particle physicist student who was awkward around the love of his life he played the role perfectly.

Why donĀ“t you post a picture of yourself, so we can see you are as handsome as Tom Cruise or Taylor Lutner

reply

>implying Taylor Lautner is handsome

Really?

He may look like a typical geek, but he cannot talk properly. But of course that makes him a typical Yank.

When he first came on the screen I felt like it was a major loss, I mean come on the kid who played the character was way better!

But....Then as the story progressed I thought he was perfect for the role....We were supposed to be watching a geeky, awkward, physics nerd. Not a warrior like in I am Number 4, or cool teen like in Percy Jackson, et cetera. I rather enjoyed a very awkward acting to the character, it made it more true to his character.

You nailed it man. I wanted to punch that sucker every time he was shown on screen. I think schmuck would be the right term for him. Nothing more annoying that over-confident arrogant nerd with whiny voice and goofy face. What a dick.

reply

have to agree. the lead was horrible. the kid who played the lead when he was 10yrs younger was more masculine than this guy.

reply

i also couldn't watch the whole film, that guy is simply #%$@%%.. seriously.

reply

I didn't like the movie because of this guy too. I just deleted it, didn't worth a DVD disc.

A couple more seconds of that nasally whine and those hunched up shoulders, and I would have been irritated enough to challenge my own grandmother to a fight.

He was a cross between French Stewart and Christian Slater.

I was not a fan of the lead guy either. I am wondering if maybe it was meant to be cast to someone else. Jesse Eisenberg I feel would have nailed this role.

Totally

I think he was great.
A kind of charming nerd = )

I like Jay Baruchel, thought he was good in She's Out Of My League, also.

reply

Yep - check out his understated performance in Knocked Up - what's wrong with you people he's geeky and funny and does a good job playing a funny geek!
