You know it, people! This is the thread dedicated to the most awesome character on TV, The Dean Winchester; and to Jensen Ackles, the supremely talented actor who brings him to life.

The rules are simple:

1. You must love Dean and Jensen Ackles.
2. Absolutely no character/actor/actor's significant others bashing is allowed.
3. There is a place for J2 and Wincest, but this is not it. We don't judge, but if we choose to indulge, we do so elsewhere.
4. Remember that we're here to have fun. We don't take ourselves too seriously!

OH man I really want Jensen and Danneel to post a photo of JJ with the twins. I would love to see that. She is after all a BIG SISTER now. I can't wait to see what the twins look like.

I always say "holding down the fort" (for reference, I live in Texas).

Although the internet tells me that holding down the fort is strictly American:

Ordered mine too! I understand they may finally be in the stores as well. I guess I could have saved a few bucks and looked for one in a store. But that requires going to the mall. Naaaaaah. 

I'm confused as to why we wanted to 'close out' the thread, assuming that means post until it was locked. Now it will eventually drop off the board since it can't be bumped. Was that the goal? It's an honest question - I haven't been around for too many of them.

I love the new title as well. Originally I wanted some reference to the Hitler thing, or even the bunny - but since the writers can't be counted on not to ruin things these days, the generic 'saved the world' is better.

I believe threads are only capable of being so long (# of replies) before imdb shuts it down. The number 600 was being bandied about so that's what I assume it is.

There were only about 10 posts left before it automatically closed, so it was just a matter of timing and I posted enough posts to close it because I didn'the know if I would have around when it closed on its own and if I wasn't around, it would have delayed opening a new thread because I wouldn't have been around to contact StickingupforDean to start a new thread.

Is 1983 a reference to when he saved Sam and his hunter life started? At first I assumed it was a reference to his life span because of the way it's phrased (but Sam was born in 83 ... which led to my ah-ha moment anyway).

Just curious and interested in verifying.

 That was my first reaction. Beautiful photo of a beautiful family. Jensen must be over the moon.... they should shoot an episode where Dean is walking 4 feet off the ground and no one can figure why.
